The next morning, Xie Wanghe heads straight to the company and presents his new proposal to Qiu Lin and CEO Song. His first initiative is to shorten delivery times and increase commission for the delivery riders. Qiu Lin opposes this, but Xie Wanghe argues that increased order volume will offset the higher commissions, maintaining profitability. CEO Song supports Xie Wanghe's vision.
However, the riders are initially furious when they hear about the plan, gathering in the lobby to protest. Xie Wanghe, understanding their concerns, passionately explains the benefits. He promises real-time payment settlements, monthly cash bonuses for top performers, and the potential to increase their salaries from a few thousand to over ten thousand yuan. The riders are won over by his persuasive speech and promises.
Meanwhile, Xia Fenghua learns from He Tianming that Mifeng (Honey) is poaching riders from Gaoxin, and her own station's couriers are considering jumping ship. This worries her. Her parents, Xia Maotian and Li Yan, call her, subtly inquiring about her relationship status and trying to set her up on a date. Xia Fenghua abruptly hangs up. Li Yan criticizes Xia Maotian for his narrow-mindedness, fully supporting her daughter's pursuit of an independent career.
Xie Wanghe works late into the night and, during the day, gives a rousing speech at a job fair, attracting many new riders. Xia Fenghua, facing employee departures, struggles to recruit replacements and feels a pang of resentment seeing Xie Wanghe's success. Xie Wanghe invites Xia Fenghua to lunch, discussing his new delivery time initiative. Xia Fenghua expresses concern that this could lead to more traffic accidents, advising him to exercise moderation.
After lunch, Xie Wanghe personally walks Xia Fenghua home, and they share a pleasant conversation. Back at his place, Xie Wanghe finds Zhou Haikuo lounging on the sofa, watching TV and snacking. Sensing Zhou Haikuo's frustration with his current job, Xie Wanghe invites him to join Mifeng and build his own team.
Chen Rui chats with Shao Xingchi, mentioning the sunken ship and revealing that the owner was Italian. The surnames of those on board – Xie, Shao, Xia, and Zhou – suggest a connection to the people in the Courtyard. Shao Xingchi is intrigued, noting that each family has Italian items. Chen Rui immediately seeks out Professor Su Weiliang, who shows him a diary recovered from the ship. The first page bears the faded inscription "Polo. D". Professor Su provides Chen Rui with valuable research advice.
Zhou Yipu learns that the diary's owner's name was Baokuo, and suspects he is "Little Polo" from the oral histories. Shao Bingyi, Chen Bo, and others are excited, believing they are close to uncovering the ship's full story.
Meanwhile, Li Yan arranges a blind date for Zhou Yanlin with Teacher Bian. The meeting at a restaurant is incredibly awkward. Zhou Yanlin feels Teacher Bian is from a completely different generation, viewing her as someone much younger. The date turns into Zhou Yanlin discussing children and asking Teacher Bian about the perspectives of people his own age. Zhou Yipu and Li Yan mistakenly believe they are hitting it off, but Zhou Yanlin declines a second date.
Couriers from Shuntong repeatedly harass Xia Fenghua's station, leading to a physical altercation with her employees. Xia Fenghua, accompanied by He Tianming, confronts CEO Wei of Shuntong, attempting to negotiate. However, CEO Wei is incredibly arrogant and drives off without a word.
Chaos also erupts at Mifeng, as couriers protest against fines, surrounding Xie Wanghe and demanding an explanation. Xie Wanghe responds and offers solutions. Shao Xingchi and Zhou Haikuo witness the scene and step up to become Xie Wanghe's right-hand men, helping him resolve many issues. The trio's teamwork proves formidable once again.
