The principal suggests implementing a free tutoring camp at the school to boost college entrance rates. This move effectively steals Xie Wanghe's business idea, leaving him frustrated and annoyed. As a prank, Xie Wanghe fills Mr. Xu's desk drawer with pre-soaked instant noodles.
Later, Xie Wanghe informs Xia Fenghua of his backup plan: creating an online intelligent question bank. To pursue this, he plans to drop out of school and head straight to Beijing. Xia Fenghua offers financial support, but Xie Wanghe politely declines, promising to invite her to join his startup in Beijing someday.
After school, Ma Siyi visits Chen Rui at the hospital to borrow his notes. Chen Rui is distracted, subtly probing to confirm she isn't bothered by Gu Alian's earlier remarks. He's relieved when she reassures him. Meanwhile, needing funds for computers and servers, Zhou Haikuo sells his game account and gives the money to Xie Wanghe as seed capital, deeply moving Xie Wanghe.
Xie Wanghe, Shao Xingchi, and Zhou Haikuo find a boat cabin to use as their office. Xie Wanghe plans to go to Beijing to rent servers and potentially pitch his idea to investors. At the school sports meet, Sun Sanliang sees Ma Siyi at their school and provokes them, nearly starting a fight before Mr. Xu intervenes. During the relay race, Sun Sanliang sabotages Xie Wanghe, causing him to fall into chalk powder.
Shao Xingchi and Zhou Haikuo take Xie Wanghe to the school rooftop to clean up. They strip down and playfully splash water, unaware that Sun Sanliang is live-streaming their antics on the big screen. The entire field erupts in laughter, and Xia Fenghua rushes to warn them.
Before dismissal, Sun Sanliang praises Xia Fenghua's loyalty, and Ma Siyi subtly advises Xie Wanghe to cherish her. Xie Wanghe remains oblivious. Back home, Xia Fenghua asks her mother for the 10,000 yuan she earned, intending to support Xie Wanghe's venture.
After Xia Fenghua has a photoshoot, Brother Hai tells her she'll be the lead in a sneaker commercial and arranges for her to stay in a hotel room. Excited about getting closer to her idol, Li Yuchun, Xia Fenghua is caught off guard when Brother Hai barges into her room and forces her to go downstairs to socialize and drink. She fights back.
In a crucial moment, Xie Wanghe appears, knocks down Brother Hai, and rescues Xia Fenghua. They run, but Xia Fenghua's injured leg gives out. Xie Wanghe tries to find a pharmacy, but Xia Fenghua, still shaken, clings to him. He ends up carrying her home, sensing her suppressed emotions and encouraging her to cry if she needs to, assuring her he won't judge.
