Go to the Mountains and Seais a Chinesewuxiadrama series adapted from the novelShen Zhou Qi Xiaby Wen Rui'an (also known as Woon Swee Oan). The series offers a unique twist on the classic martial arts genre by blending it with a time-traveling element.
The story centers on Xiao Mingming, a modern-day office worker with apassion forwuxianovels. He finds himself unexpectedly transported into the world of his favorite story, taking on thepersona of the novel's hero, Xiao Qiushui. The series follows Xiao Qiushui's journey. He starts as a young, impulsive swordsman with limited skills, and grows to become a great hero, driven by loyalty and a sense of duty. The setting is late NortheSong Dynasty. Xiao Qiushui's "Huanhua Sword School" is attacked, and he sets on apath of both vengeance and saving the country.
Actor Cheng Yi delivers a captivatingperformance,portraying three distinct roles: the modern-day Xiao Mingming, the heroic Xiao Qiushui, and the villainous Li Chenzhou. This triple role showcases Cheng Yi's range, allowing him to display both righteous heroism and sinister charisma.
As Xiao Qiushui navigates the martial arts world, he encounters a colorful cast of characters, including:
