Shen Xifan tricks Xu Xiangya and Lin Yishen into tasting a bitter herb. Xu Xiangya flirts with Li Jie, making Lin Yishen jealous. He Suye gives Shen Xifan a sachet and invites her for acupuncture and a medicinal meal. A senior tour group arrives, praising the hotel's services. In Episode 10, after He Suye confirms the details with the hotel, he takes everyone to the herbal garden. Shen Xifan notices the Schisandra chinensis (five-flavor berry) and, with He Suye's permission, picks a bunch, playfully tricking Xu Xiangya and Lin Yishen into tasting them by claiming they're delicious. Li Jie wants to intervene, but He Suye finds the situation amusing, especially when Xu Xiangya cries foul.
Back at the cultivation base, Xu Xiangya flirts with Li Jie, catching Lin Yishen's attention. Shen Xifan, noticing Lin Yishen's discomfort, creates an excuse to separate Li Jie from the situation. However, Xu Xiangya persists, even exchanging WeChat contacts with Li Jie, creating an awkward atmosphere.
Shen Xifan, seeking a distraction, examines some medicinal herbs, intending to make sachets. He Suye offers his expertise, guiding her through the garden to identify various plants. When Shen Xifan smells the agarwood, she's reminded of a fragrance He Suye supposedly used before. He Suye denies ever using perfume, instead turning the conversation into a playful compliment about himself, using the agarwood scent as a metaphor.
The next morning, Shen Xifan waits for He Suye downstairs, only to receive a message from Xu Xiangya, urging her to forward their photo to He Suye. He Suye then appears, gifting Shen Xifan a handmade sachet. Learning she wants to stop taking her medicine, he suggests acupuncture as an alternative.
Shen Xifan blurts out, asking if her visits always have to be about medical treatment, instantly realizing the suggestive nature of her words. He Suye, momentarily taken aback, invites her to his home for a medicinal meal. Shen Xifan is thrilled by the invitation, her excitement palpable even to her parents when she returns home. Shen Xifan, Xu Xiangya, and Lin Yishen introduce the guests to the prepared medicinal cuisine and the fragrant sachets in their rooms. Meanwhile, Zhao Ze undergoes another chemotherapy session, experiencing reduced side effects thanks to the supplementary Chinese medicine. He Suye gifts Zhao Ze a Transformer toy as a reward. Zhao Ze, upon learning about He Suye and Shen Xifan, expresses initial unhappiness, as he had hoped to set up He Suye with his mother. However, he maturely chooses to bless He Suye and Shen Xifan, acknowledging that he shouldn't force others, especially since he received a gift.
In a separate conversation, Lin Yishen reveals to Shen Xifan his potential plan to resign next year and take over his parents' small company. Shen Xifan is aware of the unspoken feelings between Lin Yishen and Xu Xiangya. Lin Yishen questions whether a lack of progress means there's no chance for him and Xu Xiangya, leaving Shen Xifan unsure how to respond.
Later, He Suye tells Shen Xifan about giving the toy to Zhao Ze and uses Zhao Ze's gratitude as a pretext to invite her to dinner at his place. Li Jie, witnessing Shen Xifan's joy while looking at her phone, remarks that he hasn't seen her this happy since their university days. After work, Shen Xifan visits He Suye's home, sharing anecdotes about the energetic elderly guests, admitting that even she, as a young person, struggles to keep up. During their conversation, Shen Xifan notices the metal ring on He Suye's keychain – the very same one she had given him, which he had previously claimed to have lost.
