Episode Summary
Shen Xifan and He Suye begin their romantic relationship, delighting in each other's company and sharing their happiness with friends and family. After officially becoming a couple, Shen Xifan and He Suye are walking on air. They're so giddy with happiness that they can barely sleep, tossing and turning all night with excitement. The next day at work, it's obvious to everyone that they're both in fantastic moods. He Suye's coworkers even tease him, wondering if he has some good news to share.
He Suye is so happy that he completely overlooks the revisions Li Jie made to a paper, praising them lavishly. He's even cheering on his colleagues as they head to lunch, leaving them utterly baffled. Meanwhile, Shen Xifan shares her happy news with her friends, Xu Xiangya and Lin Yishen, who are genuinely thrilled for her.
After work, He Suye rushes to the store to buy some home essentials, including slippers, and a bouquet of Shen Xifan's favorite flowers. They meet outside their apartment complex and begin their sweet, simple romance, walking home hand-in-hand, drawing envious glances from passersby.
Back at He Suye's place, he cooks dinner while Shen Xifan arranges the flowers and sets the table. During dinner, Yu Liren (He Suye's grandfather) sees a photo He Suye sent and criticizes him for not taking Shen Xifan out for a fancy meal for their first date. He Suye has Shen Xifan explain to his grandfather over voice message that she loves his cooking.
Shen Xifan learns from He Suye that his grandfather had met her before and already has a great impression of her. He Suye suggests they all meet up soon, which makes Shen Xifan both excited and nervous. Later, they relax on the couch and watch a movie. Shen Xifan tries to teach He Suye how to fold an origami frog, but he's surprisingly clumsy at it, leading to some teasing from Shen Xifan.
He Suye pretends to be upset, prompting Shen Xifan to comfort him. She reflects that every day spent with him is incredibly happy. She brings up He Suye's previous mention of worst-case scenarios. He Suye explains that he had considered waiting for her to return from studying abroad. He emphasizes that even though they're dating, she should tell him if she ever feels unhappy in the relationship. He'll work to fix things, but if that's not possible, she shouldn't force herself to stay. Shen Xifan is deeply moved by his words, grateful that she realized her feelings and confessed sooner. They share a heartfelt embrace.
That night, He Suye walks Shen Xifan home and gives her the passcode to his apartment. Alone in her room, Shen Xifan looks at the flowers and reflects on He Suye's words, realizing he's given her a new perspective.
The next day, Shen Xifan is at work when she receives a message from He Suye. He's finally mastered the origami frog and sends her a picture. He claims he learned from an online tutorial, but moments later, Li Jie messages her, revealing that He Suye threatened him into folding the frog in exchange for help with his English paper.
Shen Xifan can't help but laugh at this revelation. Later, Yan Heng confronts Shen Xifan, questioning why she chose a "quack" traditional Chinese medicine doctor. Shen Xifan tells him that she's incredibly happy with He Suye, something Yan Heng could never provide. She wishes him well in finding his own happiness. Yan Heng's business at the tech park concludes, and he checks out of the hotel, much to everyone's relief. Shen Xifan, finally free from her past, calls He Suye to tell him she misses him. He whispers a similar response, causing Li Jie and the others to quickly gather their papers and leave the room.
