Spoiler Alert
TL;DR: A cursed accessory, a wedding nobody asked for, and Mu Sheng’s emotional breakdown—all while ancient demons plot in the background. Classic Tuesday in Love Game in Eastern Fantasy.
Shopping Spree Gone Wrong
Cui Cui drags Ling Miaomiao on a legendary shopping marathon (girl, same), but our heroine taps out early, retreating to her room for a nap—only to find a surprise waiting. Turns out, the "romantic setup" inside (complete with dancers and musicians) wasn’t orchestrated by her brooding beau Mu Sheng, but by the persistent Marquis. Cue the awkwardness! Cui Cui, panicking that Mu Sheng might turn her into "bamboo slaw" for this mix-up, shoves Ling Miaomiao into the spotlight… where the Marquis drops a confession bomb. Miaomiao, expecting Mu Sheng, freezes like a deer in lantern light and hard nopes out.
Rejection (But With a Cursed Accessory)
The Marquis, ever the gentleman, apologizes for the ambush but gets shut down fast when Miaomiao declares she’s already into someone else (cough Mu Sheng cough). But plot twist! He gifts her a wooden bracelet that’s definitely not cursed (wink). The second it clicks onto her wrist, Miaomiao does a full 180° personality flip, suddenly gushing about marrying the Marquis. Mu Sheng, witnessing this chaos, looks like he’s been hit by a rogue talisman.
Wedding Planning: The Ultimate Troll Move
Miaomiao announces her wedding plans to stunned friends Mu Yao and Liu Fuyi, who reluctantly support her "upgrade" to noble life. Mu Sheng, however, goes full Sherlock, convinced she’s possessed. He even inspects the bracelet (spoiler: it’s totally fine). But when Miaomiao coldly refers to the Marquis as her "true love," our heartbroken hero resorts to crashing the couple’s outings—including a hilariously tense wedding gown shopping trip where he seethes in the corner like a jilted rom-com lead.
Meanwhile, in the Dark Subplot…
Mu Yao uncovers a creepy conspiracy involving the Xingshan Temple—a place where a shady ritual once almost unleashed a mega-demon. Her late father sealed the temple years ago, but clues suggest the big bad might still be lurking. Oh, and that "harmless" wedding? Turns out, vengeful spirit Pei Yun (and her seven-year grudge) is pulling strings to ensure it happens. Nothing suspicious here!
The Final Straw (and a Hair Down Moment)
At a drunken dinner, the Marquis lets slip childhood memories tied to Mu Sheng’s hair ribbon. Cue a dramatic confrontation where Mu Sheng, losing his cool (and his hair tie), reveals his half-demon form. Miaomiao, under the bracelet’s spell, recoils in fear—shattering Mu Sheng’s soul. As he scrambles to hide his true self, the episode ends with our boy red-eyed, watching Miaomiao comfort the Marquis.
Spoiler Snacks for Next Time:
- That bracelet? 100% evil.
- Xingshan Temple’s demon is way too powerful to stay contained.
- Mu Sheng’s emo era is just beginning.
