Wedding Day Disaster: Cursed Bling & a Runaway Bride
Meanwhile, Ling Miaomiao’s forced wedding to the Marquis goes full soap opera. Turns out, her "I do" isn’t genuine—it’s all thanks to a magic wooden bracelet that brainwashed her (shoutout to the Marquis’s dad, who fell for the same trick years ago). The Marquis, pressured by his nanny to destroy the cursed accessory, finally rips it off mid-ceremony. Cue Ling Miaomiao snapping back to reality, ditching her groom, and sprinting out in full bridal regalia. The Marquis’s response? Collapsing into a dramatic floor-sobbing meltdown. Mu Sheng’s Grand Gesture: Rom-Com Level 100
Ling Miaomiao races to find Mu Sheng, only to discover he’s…gone? Nope! Her hotel room is now a Pinterest-worthy fantasy: fairy lights, flowers, a swing chair, and GLOWING FIREFLIES. Mu Sheng pops out with a windchime and a love confession, thanks to a bamboo dragonfly craft project (with a carved heart!) and a secret letter she wrote: "I like Ziqi [Mu Sheng’s nickname]. I want to marry him." Cue tears, hugs, and a 99% "love meter" for Mu Sheng. Adorkable perfection.
