Spoiler Alert

The episode kicks off with a confrontation. Just as Miaoyun is about to attack Bei Gongshuo, Meng Xizhou intervenes, preventing her from harming him. A fight ensues between Miaoyun and Meng Xizhou, with Meng Xizhou quickly losing ground. Miaoyun boasts about her dragon essence protection, claiming that not even the Demon King can defeat her. She then reveals a secret weapon, ready to use it on Meng Xizhou. However, Nan Fengyi arrives, shielding Meng Xizhou.

Miaoyun is confused as to why her scales and bones can no longer control Nan Fengyi. Meng Xizhou reveals that she had already figured out Miaoyun's control over Nan Fengyi and helped him remove the scales. Miaoyun realizes she's been betrayed, but it's too late. Meng Xizhou and Nan Fengyi team up, and Nan Fengyi opens the mystical Scroll of Mountains and Seas. Miaoyun's maid, Zhai Yue, appears, but is immediately absorbed by the Scroll.

Witnessing her companion's capture deeply affects Miaoyun. Meng Xizhou points out that even Miaoyun feels sorrow at the loss of loved ones, questioning why Miaoyun turned so many, including Fifth Uncle, into demons, separating them from their families. Miaoyun justifies her actions, blaming humanity for her past suffering. She recalls saving Li Shiyi with her tears, only to be betrayed by him and Bai Ze Clan. This betrayal fueled her hatred. Meng Xizhou questions the endless cycle of revenge. Miaoyun is then absorbed into the Scroll of Mountains and Seas. As Meng Xizhou reaches for the Scroll, Du Yuelian snatches it away. Other Demon Hunters from the Celestial Master's Mansion attempt to capture Meng Xizhou, but Du Yuelian stops them, refusing to hand over the Scroll.

Meng Xizhou returns to the Nan family's umbrella workshop with an injured Nan Fengyi. She tries to heal him with her powers, but he doesn't absorb her energy. Renguang, who is actually Axi (Renguang was Meng Xizhou's mother's name), appears to her in a dream, and offers help. Axi explains that Nan Fengyi survived until now because of Meng Xizhou's demon core. With the core gone, his meridians are severed. Meng Xizhou points out that he just helped her open the Scroll, but Axi clarifies it was only a last flicker of Nan Fengyi's will. He is now seeking death.

Axi suggests Meng Xizhou give Nan Fengyi her vital soul, which might save him. Meng Xizhou agrees, despite Axi's warning of the harm it will cause her. Axi watches, seeing an opportunity to fully control Meng Xizhou's body.

Meng Xizhou, after leaving Nan Fengyi's home, is confronted by the Head Celestial Master and other Demon Hunters, intent on capturing her, declaring she is, after all, a demon. Bei Gongshuo, now Emperor, arrives and intervenes. He declares his decree for humans and demons to coexist peacefully, questioning if they didn't understand his orders. Bei Gongshuo asks Meng Xizhou to leave with him, but she hesitates, concerned about Nan Fengyi. Just then, Nan Fengyi appears, urging her to go with Bei Gongshuo, saying he's the only one who can protect her.

Bei Gongshuo brings Dan Qian to see Meng Xizhou, who is overjoyed. Dan Qian explains she hid when her father was demonized, and Meng Xizhou learns that Bei Gongshuo rescued her. Bei Gongshuo appoints Meng Xizhou to solve the drought, and she uses her demon powers to bring rain, with Nan Fengyi assisting her.
