Spoiler Alert

This episode of "The Top Speed" kicks off with a trip to the supermarket turning into a medical emergency. Sun Jiaqi's uncle is accidentally knocked down by a store clerk, Tian Limei, triggering a relapse of his pre-existing lung condition. Tian Limei, frantic, calls 120 (China's equivalent of 911), bringing Qi Ji and her team to the scene. Qi Ji immediately recognizes the patient as Sun Jiaqi's uncle and, knowing his medical history, initiates emergency treatment with Zhang Chi. Tian Limei accompanies them to the hospital.

Due to his difficulty breathing, Sun's uncle can't lie down, so Zhang Chi becomes a human support, letting the older man lean on him during the ride. This act of kindness doesn't go unnoticed, and it will play a role later. At the hospital, while Qi Ji handles the admission, Tian Limei disappears. Fearing the financial burden of the medical bills, she plans to flee back to her hometown, calling her nephew, Zheng Bo, to arrange a train ticket.

The police quickly locate Tian Limei, informing her of her responsibility for Sun's uncle's medical expenses. Zheng Bo arrives and steps up, promising to cover all costs. Meanwhile, Qi Ji stays by Sun's uncle's side, where he praises Zhang Chi's good looks and responsible nature. He also gifts Zhang Chi a resort ticket, which Zhang Chi, not interested, passes on to Qi Ji. Sun's uncle also gives Sun Jiaqi three tickets, and she invites Zheng Bo, and a tag-along Xu Chengyuan.

The resort trip turns into a five-person outing when Zhang Chi buys his own ticket. While Zheng Bo and Xu Chengyuan focus on taking photos with Sun Jiaqi, Qi Ji pulls Zhang Chi away to buy drinks. Zhang Chi finds the resort boring, leading to a game of rock-paper-scissors with Qi Ji, which he takes a bit too seriously, causing Qi Ji to leave in mock frustration.

Their break is short-lived. A man suffers a heart attack after swimming, and Qi Ji and Zhang Chi rush to his aid. They transport him to a nearby medical clinic, staffed by a single, overwhelmed doctor. As patients protest the delay, Qi Ji and Zhang Chi step in to assist with the overflow. Xu Chengyuan, Sun Jiaqi and Zheng Bo, try to call them, but Sun Jiaqi stops them, and tells them to help Zheng Bo.

A young female patient flirts with Zhang Chi, asking for his WeChat (a popular Chinese social media app). Qi Ji intervenes, and a male patient then tries to get Qi Ji's contact information, prompting Zhang Chi to interrupt. After a busy morning, the clinic doctor thanks them with snacks.

The photo session ends, and the others find Qi Ji and Zhang Chi at the clinic. Zhang Chi, in a playful mood, pulls Qi Ji into another round of rock-paper-scissors, causing her to run off playfully. Back on duty, Zhang Chi notices Zeng Li at the hospital. Qi Ji calls Zeng Li, who claims she's just picking up vitamins, a statement Qi Ji finds suspicious.

Qi Ji can't reach Zeng Li later and rushes home, worried. She confronts Zeng Li, who admits to having insomnia but insists she's only taking vitamins. Qi Ji, still concerned, wants to move back home to care for her, but Zeng Li wants Qi Ji to spend more time with Zhang Chi and threatens to tell Qi Ji's father, Qi Xuejun, about the situation. Fearing her father's matchmaking attempts, Qi Ji stays at Zhang Chi's place.

Zhang Chi prepares dinner, finding Qi Ji asleep on the sofa. He covers her with a blanket, and she murmurs his name in her sleep, revealing she's dreaming about their rock-paper-scissors game. Zhang Chi is amused.

The episode concludes with another emergency call. A pregnant woman, Xiaofang, is experiencing severe pain. Her neighbor, Grandpa Cheng, calls for help, and Qi Ji's team arrives to find Xiaofang suffering from pregnancy-induced hypertension and eclampsia. Qi Ji administers an IV and offers encouragement. As they race to the hospital during rush hour, traffic police clear the way for the ambulance.
