Meanwhile, Sun Yimo, clearly harboring feelings for Shuhua, manages to get two tickets to the popular movie "Romance on Lushan Mountain." He intends to ask Shuhua out, but she discovers the tickets while visiting Beihai. Having wanted to see the film with Beihai, Shuhua ends up with the tickets, and she and Beihai go on a romantic movie date, holding hands throughout the screening.
On their way home after the movie, they encounter Zhang Jianguo abusing his wife. Beihai, unable to stand by, intervenes and gives Jianguo a beating. He and Shuhua take Jianguo's wife to the hospital, and Beihai sternly warns Jianguo never to repeat his actions. Shuhua witnesses Beihai's fierce side, but he assures her that he despises men who hit women and vows to always cherish his own wife. Shuhua is deeply moved, and they share a passionate embrace.

The plot thickens as Zhang Chi discovers that Yimo and Shuhua are old neighbors and that Yimo is Sun Jiaqi's uncle. Zhang Chi confronts Yimo, seeking answers about Shuhua's past suicide attempt. Yimo advises him to drop the investigation but insinuates that Beihai has another woman, regretting not telling Shuhua sooner.
Shuhua encounters Yimo on her way to see Beihai. Yimo gets out of the ambulance, and they walk back to the station together. Beihai visits Guizhi and her children, sparking gossip among the neighbors about their relationship. Yimo witnesses this and uses it to fuel doubts in Shuhua's mind, but she firmly defends Beihai's character.
Beihai continues to help Guizhi with chores, and her children even call him "Dad." Yimo warns Beihai to be mindful of appearances, urging him to consider Shuhua's feelings.
When Shuhua visits Beihai, he's out on a call. Yimo seizes the opportunity to criticize Beihai, suggesting that Shuhua, with her bright future, is incompatible with Beihai, who is content to remain at the rescue station. Yimo reveals his own plans to pursue further training and work in the emergency department. Shuhua defends Beihai, praising his kindness and warning Yimo not to speak ill of him again. Yimo is left speechless and frustrated.
The episode concludes on a seemingly happy note: it's Beihai and Shuhua's wedding day. Friends and family celebrate, but Yimo sits alone, drowning his sorrows in alcohol.
