Episode Summary
Sang Qi captures Mu Xuanling, but Xie Xuechen intervenes. After a struggle and a heartbreaking betrayal where Mu Xuanling stabs Xie Xuechen, Sang Qi takes her away. The Chaos Pearl is revealed to be a fake. Sang Qi forces Mu Xuanling to drink a potion that erases her feelings for Xie Xuechen. Nan Xuyue and Xie Xuechen mourn their failure to protect her.

In Episode 15, the stakes are higher than ever. Mu Xuanling pleads with Sang Qi not to kill Nan Xuyue, arguing that he's no threat since he isn't part of the Immortal Alliance. She offers to leave with Sang Qi if he spares Nan Xuyue's life. Sang Qi agrees, but when Nan Xuyue attempts to send a warning, Sang Qi knocks him out, stating his dislike for underhanded tactics.
Just as Sang Qi is about to take Mu Xuanling away, Xie Xuechen arrives, followed by other members of the Immortal Alliance. A confrontation ensues, with Sang Qi declaring his intention to take Mu Xuanling. Xie Xuechen tries to intervene, but Sang Qi unleashes his demonic powers on the human realm, forcing Xie Xuechen into a difficult choice: stop Sang Qi or save the world. Xie Xuechen chooses to protect the mortal realm, successfully defending it but sustaining injuries in the process.
Xie Xuechen, injured, stands before Sang Qi, and declares that Mu Xuanling is now a disciple of Yongxue City, her demonic powers dispelled. Sang Qi doesn't care, claiming he hasn't agreed to her change of allegiance. They fight, and Xie Xuechen is defeated, but he still gets up to protect Mu Xuanling.
In a shocking twist, Mu Xuanling stabs Xie Xuechen with her sword, claiming her initial intentions with him were impure. Sang Qi shows Xie Xuechen a recording stone, revealing that Mu Xuanling's rescue of him from the molten abyss was part of their plan. Heartbroken, Xie Xuechen stops fighting, allowing Sang Qi to take Mu Xuanling.
Meanwhile, the former Pavilion Master Xiuxian arrives at the Chaos Pearl's tower. He discovers the Chaos Pearl is a fake and shatters it in anger. He confronts Xie Xuechen, taunting him about how the things he fights for might be a joke. Xie Xuechen, realizing the Chaos Pearl was fake, is left to ponder the former Pavilion Master's words.
Back with Sang Qi, Mu Xuanling confronts him. Sang Qi reveals he knows she was acting when she spoke ill of Xie Xuechen. He reveals that Xie Xuechen transferred his powerful Jade Amulet (a special internal energy technique) to Mu Xuanling, explaining her increased strength despite losing her demonic powers. Sang Qi tries to take the Jade Amulet from her but fails. He then produces a potion called "Wuxin," which will make Mu Xuanling forget her feelings for Xie Xuechen, although she will still remember the events. He forces her to drink it, despite her protests and a poignant discussion about love and loss.
A revived Nan Xuyue realizes Mu Xuanling is the woman from his dreams, but he's unable to save her. He visits Xie Xuechen, and they both lament their failure to protect Mu Xuanling, questioning the nature of love.
