Episode Summary
Sang Qi's past trauma resurfaces, revealing a betrayal by Su Ningxi. He gives Mu Xuanling a new artifact and reveals the Chaos Pearl is fake. The Immortal Alliance seeks Xie Xuechen as their leader, which he accepts temporarily. Mu Xuanling is sent to the human realm, suspected of using a potion, and confronted by both Nan Xuyue and Xie Xuechen. Gao Qiumin uncovers a secret about her mother's past.

The episode opens with Sang Qi, lost in thought, clutching the Spring's Birth Sword. We're pulled into a flashback from twenty years ago, revealing a painful memory. Sang Qi and Su Ningxi (Su Ningzhen's older sister) are together. He pleads with her not to leave, but she insists she has a task to complete, promising to return and run away with him to a secluded place. However, in a shocking betrayal, Su Ningxi severs Sang Qi's arm, declaring she never loved him and could never love a member of the Spirit Clan. Back in the present, Sang Qi is visibly heartbroken. Mu Xuanling arrives, and he hides his sorrow, concealing the sword.
Sang Qi gifts Mu Xuanling a new magical artifact, Duannian (Break Mind), replacing her old, useless one. She expresses her delight, then inquires about the former head of the Pavilion Master of the Xiuxian Pavilion and his plan to use the Chaos Pearl to open the barrier. Mu Xuanling is eager for revenge against the Immortal Alliance. Sang Qi reveals the Chaos Pearl they have is fake, and the real one is missing. Mu Xuanling suspects Pavilion Master of the Xiuxian Pavilion of deception, but Sang Qi dismisses the idea. Mu Xuanling offers to search for the real Chaos Pearl in the human realm, but Sang Qi urges her to focus on cultivating her spiritual power, especially since Xie Xuechen gave her the Yueque technique.
Meanwhile, the Immortal Alliance learns about the missing Chaos Pearl. They want Xie Xuechen to become the new leader, but he initially refuses. Duan Xiaorong of the Bixiao Palace argues that Xie Xuechen has repeatedly risked his life to protect humanity and the Chaos Pearl, making him the ideal candidate. Xie Xuechen agrees to take on the role temporarily, until the real Chaos Pearl is found and a permanent leader can be chosen. Nan Xuyue expresses concern about Xie Xuechen's heavy burdens. Xie Xuechen asks Nan Xuyue about his plans, and Nan Xuyue decides to stay by his side, acknowledging the weight Xie Xuechen carries. Xie Xuechen reveals he's found Gao Qiumin and informed her about the Chaos Pearl situation, and she has agreed to help with the investigation.
Back in the Dark Realm, Mu Xuanling is diligently practicing her spiritual power. Two Dark Clan members gossip about her abilities, questioning if her power rivals demonic magic. Mu Xuanling confronts them, demonstrating her power by attacking them. Yu Ying arrives and kills the gossiping pair. Mu Xuanling expresses feeling distant from her companions since losing her demonic powers, but Yu Ying denies any intentional avoidance, claiming fear as the reason.
Yu Ying informs Mu Xuanling that Sang Qi wants to see her. Sang Qi instructs her to go to the human realm, and Mu Xuanling questions if he trusts her, referencing her previous failure with the Chaos Pearl. Sang Qi performs a subtle gesture, assuring her, and sends her on her way. After she leaves, Yu Ying questions Sang Qi's actions, and he reveals he has obtained the Yueque technique. Upon arriving in the human realm, Mu Xuanling is immediately discovered and attacked.
Nan Xuyue intervenes, noticing a dark mark near Mu Xuanling's eye. His suspicions are further aroused during their conversation. Mu Xuanling tries to persuade Nan Xuyue to join her side, promising him the love he desires. Xie Xuechen arrives, and Mu Xuanling flees, but he pursues her. Nan Xuyue realizes Mu Xuanling has consumed the "Wuxin" potion, which suppresses emotions.
Meanwhile, Gao Qiumin eavesdrops on a conversation between Su Ningzhen and Zai Xi, discovering that her mother once loved Sang Qi and married Gao Fengxu to nurture the Chaos Pearl. Gao Qiumin confronts the eavesdropper, finding it's her own daughter.
