Spoiler Alert

Things get complicated in Episode 24! While cleaning, Chen Xiu'e and Fang Fang stumble upon some of Chen Mo's hidden treasures: love poems and an undelivered birthday gift, complete with a heartfelt letter, all intended for Xiao Han. The letter reveals Chen Mo's evolving feelings for Xiao Han, admitting she's not as annoying as he first thought. A paper airplane, identical to one found in Xiao Han's room, links the two. The moms, deducing the "Han" in the letter refers to Xiao Han, immediately alert Ai Ping.

Ai Ping initially dismisses the idea of her son and the studious Xiao Han being involved, but the discovery of the matching paper airplane and, more alarmingly, some hidden DVDs under Chen Mo's bed, sends both mothers into a panic. They're left wondering just how far this relationship has progressed.

Chen Xiu'e shares her concerns with her husband, who takes a more understanding approach, acknowledging the emotional complexities of adolescence. Having read her daughter's diary, Chen Xiu'e knows Qian Jiayue's feelings. She calls Qian Jiayue, offering cryptic but supportive advice to be brave and resilient, no matter what, leaving Qian Jiayue confused and worried about potential family issues.

Qian Jiayue had planned to watch a meteor shower that night, but after her parents' call and a sudden downpour, she returns to her dorm. Her roommate, Ka Men, informs her that Chen Mo had come by earlier to deliver an umbrella. When Chen Mo doesn't return after the rain stops, Qian Jiayue and Ka Men go looking for her.

On the rooftop, Chen Mo, initially there to give Qian Jiayue the umbrella, is confronted by Xiao Han, who wants to know why Chen Mo has been distant since her birthday. After clearing up the misunderstanding, Xiao Han realizes Chen Mo does have feelings for him, but is mindful of Qian Jiayue. Xiao Han takes Chen Mo's hand, and they share a smile under the romantic meteor shower.

Qian Jiayue witnesses this "interaction". The boy smiling at another girl is the same Xiao Han she's secretly loved for years. And to make matters worse, it's with her best friend, Chen Mo, who had even helped her get ready to confess her feelings under the meteor shower that very night. Qian Jiayue is heartbroken, betrayed by her closest confidante. She spends the night alone, unable to sleep.

The training camp ends, and everyone heads home. The next day, Qian Jiayue is absent from school, leaving Chen Mo distraught at the sight of her empty seat.

Xiao Han visits Qian Jiayue, but Chen Xiu'e tells him that Qian Jiayue already knows what he wants to say, and doesn't let them see each other. Chen Mo also comes to see Qian Jiayue, desperately explaining that she didn't know Xiao Han was Qian Jiayue's crush and that the meteor shower night was an accident. Qian Jiayue, however, is a shadow of her former self, heartbroken and unable to forgive them, even though she knows neither of them are technically wrong.

Chen Mo's father, Chen Pengyu, seemingly aware of the situation, quickly arranges for a transfer to another school, informing his wife and daughter they're moving immediately. Chen Mo and Fang Fang strongly oppose the transfer, but Chen Pengyu is resolute. Unable to reach an agreement, Fang Fang proposes a divorce.
