Spoiler Alert

Things get complicated in Episode 25! While helping Fang Fang clean, Chen Xiu'e stumbles upon some revealing items in Chen Mo's room: love poems and an unsent birthday gift, originally meant for Xiao Han. A paper airplane, accompanied by a letter, reveals Chen Mo's evolving feelings for Xiao Han, admitting that she's not as annoying as he first thought. The letter is signed with "Han". Chen Xiu'e and Fang Fang, putting two and two together, realize it's that Xiao Han, and rush to tell Ai Ping.

Ai Ping initially dismisses the idea of her son, Chen Mo, and the studious Xiao Han being involved. She believes Xiao Han is a good kid, always home doing homework. However, Chen Xiu'e has already found a matching paper airplane in Xiao Han's room, identical to the one in Chen Mo's. Panicked, Ai Ping searches Chen Mo's room and finds hidden DVDs, leading both mothers to fear the worst about the kids' relationship.

Chen Xiu'e returns home and tells her husband about the suspected puppy love between Xiao Han and Chen Mo. The parents, not being unreasonable, acknowledge that teenage crushes are normal. Chen Xiu'e, having read her daughter Qian Jiayue's diary and knowing her secret crush, calls Jiayue. She gives her vague but strong advice to stay strong and brave, no matter what, implying that something big is about to go down. Jiayue is left confused, wondering what's happening at home.

Jiayue was supposed to go watch a meteor shower that night, but after her parents' confusing phone calls and a sudden downpour, she stays in her dorm. Ka Men, her roommate, tells her that Chen Mo had come by earlier to bring Jiayue an umbrella. When the rain stops and Chen Mo hasn't returned, Jiayue and Ka Men go looking for him.

On the rooftop, it's revealed that Chen Mo had initially gone to give Jiayue the umbrella. Xiao Han is there too. With just the two of them present, Xiao Han confronts Chen Mo about his distance after her birthday. After clearing up the misunderstanding, Xiao Han realizes that Chen Mo does have feelings for her, but is holding back because of Jiayue. Xiao Han takes Chen Mo's hand, and under the romantic meteor shower, they share a smile.

Jiayue witnesses this "interaction". The boy smiling at another girl is Xiao Han, the boy Jiayue has secretly loved for years. And it's with Chen Mo, her best friend, who had even helped her get ready that night, wishing her luck in confessing under the meteor shower. Jiayue is devastated, feeling betrayed by her closest confidante. She spends the night alone, unable to sleep, hiding in a stairwell.

The training camp ends, and the students return home. The next day, Jiayue is absent from school, leaving Chen Mo deeply troubled by her empty seat.

Xiao Han goes to visit Jiayue after school, but Jiayue's mother, Chen Xiu'e, intercepts him. She tells Xiao Han that Jiayue already knows what he wants to say and doesn't need to see him.

Later, Chen Mo also tries to see Jiayue. She desperately explains that she didn't know Xiao Han was Jiayue's secret crush and that the meteor shower incident was an accident. Jiayue, heartbroken and withdrawn, says that while she knows neither Chen Mo nor Xiao Han did anything wrong in a technical sense, she can't bring herself to forgive them.

Chen Mo's father, Chen Pengyu, gets wind of the situation. He swiftly arranges for a transfer to a different school and tells Chen Mo and Fang Fang to pack their things, as they're moving the next day. Chen Mo and Fang Fang strongly oppose the transfer, but Chen Pengyu is resolute. Unable to reach an agreement, Fang Fang proposes a divorce.
