Spoiler Alert

As the crucial college entrance exams loom, the homeroom teacher offers words of encouragement and practical advice to the anxious students. The teacher stresses the importance of familiarizing themselves with the exam location to ease test-day nerves and reminds everyone to keep things as stress-free as possible.

Meanwhile, Qian Jiayue's mother, Chen Xiu'e, goes into full superstitious mode. Desperate for her daughter to ace the exams, she hires a Feng Shui master to optimize Jiayue's room. The master's only concern? The computer. Chen Xiu'e demands it be removed, but Jiayue protests, claiming it's essential for her studies. In a quick-thinking compromise, Jiayue places a glass of water on the computer, hoping to appease both her mother and the Feng Shui principles.

Jiayue has been planning to meet her online friend after the exams, a prospect that fills Mao Tou with both excitement and anxiety. He's been daydreaming about their meeting, meticulously planning every detail, from what he'll say to how she'll react. He's barely sleeping, caught up in his romantic fantasies.

During a meal, Jiayue reveals her plan to meet her online friend. Ka Men and Chen Mo express concern about the potential dangers of meeting a stranger. They find it odd that this person has been chatting with Jiayue for three years without any ulterior motives, especially since he never talks about his work. This leads Chen Mo and Ka Men to suspect that the online friend might be someone Jiayue knows in real life, someone who has been secretly close to her all along.

Mao Tou, who is also present at the meal, is deeply affected by their conversation. Jiayue admits that it would be incredibly awkward if her online friend turned out to be someone she knew, given all the personal secrets she's shared. Mao Tou starts to feel guilty, realizing his deception might embarrass Jiayue.

Ka Men and Chen Mo initially suspect Chang Wuji. However, after Wang Bin summons him, it's clear Wuji doesn't recognize the online username. Wuji, a tech whiz, uses his skills to trace the IP address and username, pinpointing the online friend to a location in Shanghai. When pressed for details about his work, Mao Tou, unable to keep up the charade, agrees to meet.

Chang Wuji, having confirmed the online friend isn't a threat, smiles, while Mao Tou becomes increasingly apprehensive. He asks Wuji for advice about the meeting, but Wuji simply states that this online friend is very important to Jiayue. Mao Tou returns to his old house, where he coincidentally encounters Jiayue, who is searching for something. She finds an old photo of herself, Mao Tou, and Xiao Han, reminiscing about how these two have brought sunshine into her life, acting as a supportive family.

Mao Tou is silent, realizing that Jiayue sees him as family. The potential meeting now seems insignificant, and he fears it might create unnecessary awkwardness. He seeks out Chang Wuji again, deciding to abandon the online persona. He asks Wuji to comfort Jiayue if she's upset and to reassure her that she's a wonderful person who deserves all the best.
