Wang Xingyue as Chai An
Chai An is the ambitious and charismatic owner of the Pan Tavern teahouse in Bianjing. Known for his sharp business acumen, Chai An initially finds himself at odds with Kang Ning due to competing businesses. He's a straight shooter with a strong sense of loyalty and righteousness.
However, his rivalry with Kang Ning soon gives way to attraction, as he's captivated by her intelligence and wit. Chai An isn't afraid to go against the grain, even defying his own mother to pursue Kang Ning. Liu Xiening as Shou Hua
Shou Hua is the eldest daughter of the Li family. She is portrayed as gentle, kind, and intelligent. A young widow, Shou Hua initially has no interest in remarrying. However, when her sister Kangning is involved in a competition to find a husband, Shou Hua steps in and marries Du Yangxi in her place.
Du Yangxi is initially cold and distant, and harbors misunderstandings about Shou Hua. However, she handles these challenges with grace and wisdom. Her calm demeanor and clever solutions to problems gradually earn Du Yangxi's affection. Shou Hua is a pillar of strength for her family, always thinking rationally and offering level-headed solutions when dealing with family matters or external conflicts. Chen Heyi as Du Yangxi
Du Yangxi is a brilliant scholar who achieved the prestigious rank of Tanhua (third-highest graduate) in the imperial examination. He's a man of both intellect and ambition. Initially, he appears somewhat aloof and cold, particularly in his marriage to Shou Hua. He even rejects a marriage proposal to another woman, Kang Ning, during a poetry competition.
After marrying Shou Hua, his initial interactions with her are distant. However, as the story unfolds, Du Yangxi's icy exterior begins to melt. He finds himself increasingly drawn to Shou Hua's warmth, intelligence, and gentle nature. Their relationship gradually blossoms, revealing a deeper connection. His character arc involves him learning about the true meaning of marriage, growing past his initial perceptions.
In his career, Du Yangxi is a man of principle. He fearlessly exposes the crimes of a corrupt official, Yu Weiyi, but this act of bravery leads to him being framed and unjustly stripped of his position. Fortunately, with the Empress Dowager's intervention, he is eventually reinstated, showcasing his resilience and the importance of his integrity. Wu Xuanyi as Fu Hui

Hao De is the fourth daughter of the Li family. She's known for her incredibly genuine and open-hearted nature. She's the kind of person who wears her heart on her sleeve – full of youthful energy, enthusiasm, and a touch of naivete. She's also incredibly brave and direct, unafraid to speak her mind.
Hao De falls head-over-heels for Shen Huizhao, who is a magistrate, initially tasked with overseeing legal matters in Kaifeng Prefecture. He's known for being exceptionally cold and aloof, but Hao De is instantly smitten. She embarks on a passionate pursuit of him, undeterred by his initial icy demeanor. Shen Huizhao serves as the acting magistrate of Kaifeng Prefecture. He's known for his diligent and responsible approach to his work, displaying a steadfast commitment to justice. He is also known to be an honest and earnest man. He is modeled after the famous Northern Song justice, Bao Zheng.
Initially, Shen Huizhao is wary and keeps his distance from Li Hao De, the fourth daughter of the Li family. He's resistant to any romantic entanglement. She's also incredibly resourceful, cleverly navigating challenges and helping Yang Xian overcome the schemes of those who wish him harm. Ultimately, their relationship is reforged, stronger than before. Le Shan demonstrates a blend of courage, intelligence, compassion, and resilience.
Dong Sicheng as Yang Xian
Yang Xian is the quintessential spoiled young master. Initially, he's known for his bad behavior, causing trouble, and even harassing the Li sisters. However, his marriage to Le Shan becomes a turning point. Under her influence, he gradually starts to change his ways. After his family faces ruin, Yang Xian, with the help of Chai An, relocates to Quanzhou to rebuild his life. He returns three years later, determined to win back Le Shan. Lady Li is the strong and outspoken matriarch of the Li family. She is the mother of the Li sisters. Driven by a fierce desire to see her daughters happily married, she relocates the family from Luoyang to Bianjing, the bustling capital, hoping to find them suitable husbands. Lady Li is deeply involved in her daughters' lives and romantic pursuits, offering advice and strategies. While she can sometimes be a bit stubborn, her love for her daughters is unwavering and profound. She serves as the rock-solid foundation of the Li family, providing unwavering support to her daughters.
Zeng Shunxi as Emperor Song Renzong
In Perfect Match, Zeng Shunxi makes a guest appearance as Emperor Song Renzong, the fourth emperor of the Northern Song Dynasty. His presence provides the historical backdrop for the series, showcasing the prosperity and abundance of Bianjing (present-day Kaifeng), the capital city, during his reign. Emperor Renzong reigned from 1022 to 1063, a 41 year reign, which is the longest of any Song Dynasty Emperor. He is known as a merciful, tolerant, and frugal emperor.
