Episode Summary
A'Lai becomes famous at the police station for his seemingly precognitive abilities, while A'Feng travels through time, revisiting key moments in his life and attempting to change his past. He ultimately learns the importance of his choices, even the difficult ones. A'Lai's intervention saves A'Feng from a wrongful conviction.

A'Lai has become a celebrity at the police station, earning the nickname "One-Step Detective" for his uncanny ability to anticipate criminals. Everyone wants him to share his secrets, but A'Lai is secretly freaking out because he knows his success isn't due to any special skill. A'Jia, suspicious of A'Lai, even complains to the Chief Inspector, but gets a lecture about trusting others instead.
Meanwhile, A'Lai visits Lu Na in the hospital and sees a new story in her open notebook. This story features A'Feng, a guy with incredibly bad luck. A'Feng gets hit in the head by a ball during a game, ruins his design drafts with water, and gets stabbed multiple times by a thug just as he's proposing to his girlfriend. Lying on the ground, a bar owner asks him if he'd change anything if he could go back. Suddenly, A'Feng is transported back to his 17-year-old self, on the day of his college entrance exam. He still has his present-day memories and knows he was late for the art exam the first time around. He's determined to make it on time, but history repeats itself when he sees a dog hit by a car. He makes the same choice, saving the dog and missing the exam.
When he picks up the puppy, he's back in the present, miraculously alive. He tells the bar owner about his "dream," and the owner explains that every choice shapes the future. If he hadn't saved the dog, the fight, and his marriage to his girlfriend, Xiao Qiao, wouldn't have happened. A'Feng decides to have another drink and go back again, this time bringing the bar owner with him.
This time, A'Feng returns to his early career days. His best friend, A'Jie, was in a terrible state after a breakup. A'Feng, originally planning to move to a new city with his girlfriend, stayed behind to support A'Jie, missing his chance to say a proper goodbye and losing the love of his life for his friend.
A'Feng tries to change things. He goes back to the night he was rushing to finish his design drafts. His pregnant coworker, a rival for a promotion, deliberately sabotaged his work, causing him to miss his deadline. The bar owner advises A'Feng not to help her in the first place and shows him the outcome: A'Feng gets promoted, while the woman is constantly bullied at work. A'Feng, being inherently kind, can't stand to see that happen.
Finally, A'Feng returns to the day he proposed to Xiao Qiao. The same drunk guy harasses Xiao Qiao. This time, A'Feng grabs the knife first but hesitates to use it. The drunkard takes the knife and stabs A'Feng, who manages to dodge, causing the drunkard to stab himself. A'Feng is imprisoned and contemplates suicide, feeling his life is a mess. Fortunately, A'Lai arrives in time to save him, promising to uncover the truth and clear his name.
In court, A'Lai reenacts the events of that night, leading to A'Feng's acquittal and immediate release.
