Episode Summary
He Jiawen visits the welcoming Chen family and her wedding is prepared. He Jiayi starts a new job and hides part of her salary. Ouyang Bao and He Jiayi's relationship grows, despite some awkwardness. The He family moves into a new house. Preparations and celebrations for Jiawen's wedding take place. Jiawen announces her pregnancy. After He Jiawen and Chen Weiguo officially become a couple, Jiawen visits the Chen family, who warmly welcome her. The Chens are thrilled with Jiawen, and Chen Weiguo's mother is overjoyed, promising that they'll provide a house, furniture, and a generous dowry when the two marry. Jiawen is overwhelmed by their generosity.
Meanwhile, the third sister, He Jiayi, starts working at the Arts and Crafts Factory, thanks to her eldest sister's husband. Jiayi is very pleased with this arrangement. Traditionally, the He daughters contribute part of their wages to the family, but Jiayi secretly keeps some of her earnings to buy fashionable items. Liu Meixin, their mother, suspects this and is determined not to let Jiayi break the family custom, while He Changsheng, their father, thinks they should let Jiayi enjoy herself for a while.
Ouyang Bao buys a camera and takes photos of Jiayi. The two are caught by the eldest sister, He Jiali. Jiayi quickly explains the situation to her sister and starts avoiding Ouyang Bao. One day, passing a movie theater, Ouyang Bao sees his father, Old Ouyang, selling melon seeds. He signals his father to leave, worried that Jiayi might look down on him. However, although Jiayi can be a bit spoiled and rebellious, she understands right from wrong. She pulls Ouyang Bao over to greet his father, and her considerate behavior delights Old Ouyang, who thanks her for making his son a better person.
Soon, the factory allocates housing, and He Changsheng manages to secure a first-floor apartment. He and Liu Meixin are thrilled. The whole family is excited about the new house, and the sisters discuss room arrangements, all wanting to share with the second sister. He Changsheng decides that the second and third sisters will share a room, while the younger sisters will share another.
On moving day, both Zhang Jianguo (Jiali's husband) and Chen Weiguo help out. Weiguo cooks a delicious meal, impressing Changsheng and Meixin, who are increasingly fond of their future son-in-law. After dinner, Weiguo hints to Jiawen about taking their relationship to the next level, and she playfully tells him to hurry home.

As Jiawen's wedding day approaches, Liu Meixin gives her the bracelet the Chen family had gifted, advising her to cherish her life with Weiguo. Meanwhile, Chen Weiguo's mother gathers her children, asking her eldest son for 500 yuan and her two daughters for 300 yuan each. He Jiali, aware that Weiguo's elder brother and sister-in-law have been married for years without children, reminds Jiawen to be mindful of her relationships with her in-laws.
On the wedding day, Jiayi is heartbroken to see her second sister leave and sits alone, crying. Jiawen comforts her tenderly. Chen Weiguo arrives in a car to pick up his bride, and the neighborhood is filled with well-wishers. He Changsheng and Liu Meixin watch their daughter leave, their eyes welling up with tears.
Two months later, Jiawen and Weiguo return from their honeymoon with photos and the happy news that Jiawen is pregnant. Jiawen becomes the cherished center of the Chen family, with Chen Weiguo's mother catering to her every need. During a meal, Chen Kesi (Weiguo's brother) unexpectedly suggests that if they have multiple children, they could give one to him and his wife, creating an awkward moment. Later that evening, Weiguo washes Jiawen's feet, assuring her that he will always be on her side.
Ouyang Bao and He Jiayi's relationship also deepens, and he is eager to make things official, but Jiayi hesitates.
