Episode Summary
Jiayi's pregnancy creates family drama, but she marries Ouyang Bao and has a son. Jiahuan goes to college, facing challenges and unrequited feelings for Qiulin. The episode throws the He family into turmoil when He Jiayi reveals she's pregnant. The news is met with shock and disapproval, especially from eldest sister He Jiali, as premarital pregnancy carries a heavy social stigma. Jiali throws Jiayi out of the house and even physically confronts Ouyang Bao, Jiayi's boyfriend, until he vows on his knees to always take care of Jiayi.
Good news arrives for Zhang Qiulin, who receives his acceptance letter to Hefei University of Technology. He Jiahuan is also accepted into the Finance and Trade College, becoming the first in the family to attend university. However, her excitement is dampened when the college is unexpectedly relocated to Bengbu. Jiahuan is upset and blames Qiulin, though he's completely oblivious to her romantic feelings for him.
Jiayi and Ouyang Bao get their marriage certificate, but there's no wedding celebration, and they remain estranged from the He family. Second sister He Jiawen visits Jiayi, bringing her money and reassuring her that the family still cares. Later, Ouyang Bao finds an envelope of money outside their door. Meanwhile, the youngest sister, Liu Xiaoling, and Jiahuan have a love-hate relationship, but Xiaoling is secretly sad about Jiahuan leaving for college. Qiulin apologizes to Jiahuan, explaining he had no idea about the college's relocation, and she finally calms down.
Jiayi gives birth to a son, Ouyang Feng. Jiawen visits on behalf of the family, bringing money they've collected. He Wen urges Liu Meixin to let go of her anger, as the couple is already married with a child. Jiawen secretly returns the money Jiali had given, revealing that Jiayi didn't want to accept it. That night, Jiali visits Jiayi, and the two sisters finally reconcile. Jiahuan also frequently writes to Qiulin, but he rarely replies, leaving her feeling dejected.
The family is busy preparing paper boxes when Aunt Zhu arrives with the news of Big Bro Tang's death, leaving Jiali deeply saddened. Thanks to Ouyang Bao's successful business, Jiayi is finally living a comfortable life and plans to buy a new house. The family discusses the upcoming New Year celebrations, and He Wen decides to invite Jiayi back home. Jiali and Jiawen visit their sister, surprised to find her living in a large villa. Jiayi wants to come home for the New Year, but she's too busy with the new house and a large group of relatives to take care of.
Meanwhile, Liu Xiaoling gossips with Jiahuan about whether she has a boyfriend at college. Jiahuan learns that Xiaoling has many suitors and reminds her not to get married before her. Xiaoling encourages Jiahuan to wear makeup, and Jiahuan, hoping to impress Qiulin, gets a new hairstyle, giving her a completely fresh look.
