Spoiler Alert

This episode throws Gu Yunsu into a series of increasingly awkward situations. Trying to impress potential clients, she pretends to have two screenplays in the works: "Escape Plan," about her own life, and "Paternity Plan," about her mother's. She's anxious about a meeting with Xu Wenbin, so she enlists her friend Jingjing for support. Things get complicated when Li Yan's friends take an interest in Jingjing, and Li Yan, wanting to impress them, asks Yunsu for help facilitating a meeting. Jingjing is game, enjoying the attention from the younger guys.

Yunsu, needing a break from the chaos, hides in the restroom. Jingjing finds Xu Wenbin and directs him to a booth before going to find Yunsu. After notifying Yunsu, Jing Jing has other things to do, and leaves. When Yunsu finally emerges, she's confronted with a truly mortifying sight: Xu Wenbin, Li Yan, and Qin Yuxuan are all sitting together. It's a scene she'll never forget.

The awkwardness escalates when Yuxuan suggests a game where they analyze each other's personalities, with correct guesses resulting in the subject having to drink. Yunsu knows that Wenbin has read her private notes about Yuxuan, giving him an unfair advantage. Yuxuan, however, is clueless about Wenbin. Despite the imbalance, Yuxuan insists on playing.

Yuxuan's analysis of Wenbin centers on their shared feelings for the same woman. He claims Wenbin only had a slight interest until Yuxuan entered the picture, turning it into intense love. He also suggests Wenbin is insecure about the woman's feelings for her ex (Yuxuan) and worried about measuring up. Wenbin admits the accuracy and drinks. However, Wenbin quickly turns the tables, accurately assessing that Yuxuan cares more about winning than love itself. Yunsu, fed up with the whole charade, steps in. She tells Wenbin she's tired of their back-and-forth, where she takes a step forward, and he retreats two steps. She adds that when she is about to give up, he starts to summon her, and she happily runs to him. She tells him that she very much dislikes that version of herself. She also confronts Yuxuan, stating that he's always been on a pedestal in their relationship, but now that she's standing up for herself, she won't go back to being subservient. She's done with both of them.

Yunsu declares she'll finish the remaining alcohol, and the whole matter will be over. Li Yan, in a dramatic gesture, grabs the bottle to drink for her, accidentally knocking over a table, breaking things, and ending up in the hospital. Yuxuan faces repercussions at work for the incident. Luckily, Li Yan is fine.

The experience seems to solidify Li Yan's feelings for Yunsu, and he declares himself a rival to Wenbin, who finds him childish. Yuxuan decides to return to Shanghai and give up on rekindling his relationship with Yunsu. The two part amicably. Yunsu, sporting a new hairstyle, is ready to move on and embrace a fresh start.
