Episode Summary
Gu Yunsu is transferred to a new department after a workplace outburst but clashes with her new boss, Mr. Wang, over a passion project. She ultimately quits and successfully pitches the project to her old boss, Mr. Wu. A flashback reveals Wu Limei's past struggles as a housewife, leading her to separate from her husband and seek employment.

The episode opens with Gu Yunsu facing the consequences of her actions. After causing a scene at a company dinner, she still shows up for work, hoping to salvage her job. However, she's quickly met with farewell gifts from colleagues and told to start the handover process by both the business and HR departments. Panicked, Yunsu tries to smooth things over with her boss, Mr. Wu, even presenting her ongoing "Spark" project – a touching initiative focused on a terminally ill young girl named Tongtong, who has only a couple of months left to live, and wants to have a happy, filmed funeral. Mr. Wu, while unmoved by the project, doesn't fire her. Instead, he transfers her to Mr. Wang's department.
Mr. Wang is known for slacking off and, to make matters worse, he gives Yunsu intern-level tasks. Yunsu endures it all for the sake of Tongtong's project. When she requests a budget for "Spark," Mr. Wang flatly refuses, reminding her that the project originated in her former department, the one headed by her ex, Qin Yuxuan. This sets Yunsu off. In a fit of rage, she confronts Mr. Wang in front of their colleagues, exposing his personal expenses that were charged to the company and threatening to send photos to the boss. With Mr. Wang's career hanging in the balance, Yunsu grabs her bag and leaves, earning the admiration of her coworkers. With help from a colleague. Yunsu films a joyful farewell ceremony for Tongtong, where she dresses as Hermione, her favorite character. Tongtong expresses her happiness and tells her mother to find a handsome new dad, and if they have another child, it will be her coming back to her mother.
Yunsu, knowing she can't return to her previous department after the confrontation, presents Tongtong's film, combined with her earlier footage, to Mr. Wu and other team members. They are deeply moved, some even to tears. Mr. Wu has a change of heart and vows to find a way to release the film, believing it will touch others as it touched her. After this experience, Yunsu decides to take a break and reconsider her next steps. She also makes the firm decision to break up with Qin Yuxuan.
The episode then shifts to a flashback, showing Wu Limei at 28. She has followed Liang Kangqi to Hangzhou, where they live comfortably. However, Limei feels restless and unfulfilled as a housewife, longing for the stimulation of a career. She tries to discuss this with Kangqi, but he's constantly busy and falls asleep before she can fully express herself. Limei, after careful consideration, decides to separate from Kangqi. She takes 300 yuan from him, rents a place, and starts searching for a job. Despite the challenges, she perseveres, eventually convincing a recruiter of her determination as a single mother needing to support herself and her daughter. The episode ends with Limei excited about her upcoming job opportunity.
