Episode Summary
Obsessed fan Liu Sifan's plan to get rid of rival Lin Xiaojing goes horribly wrong, leading to Lin's accidental death. Liu Sifan, overwhelmed with guilt, attempts suicide but is stopped. Meanwhile, Meng Zisu's career is destroyed by scandal, and a new murder case emerges at a bar.

The episode opens with Liu Sifan, a distraught suspect, on a rooftop, clutching Meng Zisu's pillow. She's on the verge of jumping, but Gu Zhen and Kong Rubai try to talk her down. Liu Sifan reveals that she knows Wang Qian has been taken in for questioning and believes everyone is aware of her actions. She explains that she never intended for things to escalate this way. Her obsession with Meng Zisu began when he debuted, and she'd done everything possible to get close to him.
Liu Sifan considered herself smarter than another fan, Lin Xiaojing, and even shared tips with her on how to approach Meng Zisu. However, she was furious when Lin Xiaojing stole Meng Zisu's belongings and posted about it in a fan group. When Meng Zisu came to her city to film, Liu Sifan decided to work alone. Despite this, Lin Xiaojing contacted her to collaborate, and they both made surveillance dolls. Lin Xiaojing only sent her own, and Liu Sifan, who had pre-arranged things with a cleaner, was outmaneuvered.
Lin Xiaojing snuck into Meng Zisu's room, took many photos, and bragged about stealing a brooch and bracelet. Liu Sifan demanded a brooch as compensation, but Lin Xiaojing refused. Liu Sifan then had Wang Qian book a room across from Meng Zisu's, but she told Wang Qian she couldn't go. She tricked Wang Qian's friend into inviting them to an all-night internet cafe session. Liu Sifan, disguised as a cleaner, entered Wang Qian's room and then Meng Zisu's, reveling in the experience.
Lin Xiaojing unexpectedly arrived, and Liu Sifan hid, witnessing Lin Xiaojing drug Meng Zisu's wine. When the manager brought Meng Zisu back, Liu Sifan and Lin Xiaojing were enraged seeing her undress him. After the manager left, Meng Zisu drank the drugged wine. Lin Xiaojing emerged, also drank some wine, and took photos with Meng Zisu, intending to force herself on him. Liu Sifan, horrified, couldn't allow Lin Xiaojing to "defile" her idol.
Liu Sifan secretly added "obedience water" to the wine. After Lin Xiaojing drank it, she became disoriented. Liu Sifan changed her back into the cleaner's uniform and left her in Meng Zisu's room overnight. Liu Sifan's plan was for Meng Zisu to wake up, find Lin Xiaojing, and be disgusted, preventing her from ever getting close to him again. However, Lin Xiaojing had an adverse reaction to the anesthetic, vomited while unconscious, and died from asphyxiation.
Liu Sifan feels responsible for Lin Xiaojing's death and Meng Zisu's ruined life, wanting to atone with her own death. Gu Zhen and Kong Rubai inform her that Meng Zisu has been arrested for tax evasion and has a secret marriage and child, making her sacrifice pointless. Shocked, Liu Sifan nearly falls, but Gu Zhen and Kong Rubai pull her back.
In the aftermath, Meng Zisu's career is ruined. Xiao Tang is also upset, but eventually moves on to another idol. Meanwhile, Anna is at a bar, depressed. Her brother takes her home, and she falls asleep, waking up to find a glass of hot milk and strange paintings around her. She hears the shower running and becomes embarrassed.
Xiao Tang urges Gu Zhen to reconcile with his sister, but he warns her to stay out of his family affairs and focus on her studies. Kong Rubai and Gu Zhen discuss a break-in case, but they receive a call about a murder at the bar.
