Tang Qi struggles with his feelings for Fang Jin, while Su Chengcheng continues to impersonate her, leading to complications with Guan Shengyu. The episode kicks off with Su Chengcheng successfully navigating a tricky situation, thanks to the teamwork of Su Qingli and Lin Yuan. It's revealed that Tang Qi is quite smitten with Fang Jin. While talking, Tang Qi mentions his worries, reminding him of Su Miao. Tang Qi is feeling down because he realizes he keeps thinking about Fang Jin, making him feel like a "player" who falls for every girl he meets. The next day at work, Su Chengcheng and Tang Qi share an elevator ride. She notices he's in low spirits. Su Chengcheng is puzzled, as his meeting with Fang Jin the previous night went well. His attitude change is drastic. It's only when other people in the elevator discuss movies that Su Chengcheng realizes it might be related to Su Miao.
Meanwhile, Guan Shengyu has lined up a new company to potentially buy Fang Jin's patent. To sabotage this deal, Su Chengcheng and her sister concoct a scheme. First, Su Chengcheng, posing as Fang Jin, invites Tang Qi to a coffee shop. Then, she deliberately reveals the project details in front of Guan Shengyu, making him believe Tang Qi is meeting with President Xiang. Thinking Tang Qi is undermining his deal, Guan Shengyu rushes to the coffee shop. Simultaneously, Su Chengcheng transforms into Fang Jin and, along with her sister, visits Guan Shengyu's new potential partner, successfully rejecting the collaboration.
At the coffee shop, Guan Shengyu realizes he's been tricked when the new partner doesn't show. He rushes to find President Xiang and bumps into Su Chengcheng. She can barely contain her anger and almost attacks him, but noticing a security camera, she plays the victim. Just as Guan Shengyu is about to strike, Tang Qi appears, protecting "Fang Jin" but getting hit in the process.
Back at QianNiao Ji, Gu Yu's potential investors are hesitant to back their product because the final patent hasn't been decided, leaving the product concept vague. Gu Yu and Tang Qi try to explain, but it's no use. However, the client's daughter walks in and sees the book where she previously asked Gu Yu to get Lin Yuan's autograph. She is touched by the effort and decides to continue supporting QianNiao Ji.
On the way back, Gu Yu suggests a celebratory dinner with Fang Jin to thank her for her help. Tang Qi gets nervous and strongly objects. He believes that since he previously loved Su Miao, he shouldn't develop feelings for another woman. He doesn't want that kind of relationship with Fang Jin. Gu Yu notices Tang Qi's unusual behavior but doesn't press the issue, offering comfort instead. He suggests that Tang Qi might be confusing sympathy for Fang Jin with romantic interest, and that spending more time with her will clarify his feelings. Taking Gu Yu's explanation to heart, Tang Qi decides to test this theory and immediately sets out to find Fang Jin.
Su Chengcheng is working late at the office, with only Wang Yi from her team still there. Xu Yue even taunts Su Chengcheng on her way out. Just then, Tang Qi messages, looking for Fang Jin. Su Chengcheng doesn't want to meet him and tries to decline, claiming she's busy with work. However, Tang Qi insists on going to Fang Jin's lab. With no other option, Su Chengcheng rushes out of the office and, posing as Fang Jin, waits for Tang Qi at the lab.
Once at the lab, Tang Qi uses a technical question as an excuse to talk to her. Su Chengcheng panics, realizing she knows nothing about the technology. She pretends to be hungry, suggesting they eat first and talk later. During dinner, both are preoccupied. Tang Qi is trying to suppress any feelings of affection, while Su Chengcheng is terrified of being exposed. Suddenly, the power goes out, even locking the electronic door. They're trapped in the lab. Su Chengcheng is secretly relieved, as the power outage means she won't have to discuss technical details with Tang Qi. Unbeknownst to them, the blackout is intentional. Guan Shengyu, believing Tang Qi and Fang Jin are having an affair, has orchestrated this to expose them.
