Guan Shengyu's attempt to expose Fang Jin's supposed affair backfires when Su Chengcheng and Tang Qi pretend to be a couple. A leaked photo forces them to maintain the ruse, while Lin Yuan gathers evidence of Guan Shengyu's infidelity. Fang Jin awakens from a coma but is taken by Guan Shengyu. The episode kicks off with a chaotic scene at Fang Jin's lab. Guan Shengyu, armed with a phone and a posse, barges in expecting to catch Fang Jin in an affair. Instead, he finds only Tang Qi. Still convinced of Fang Jin's infidelity, Guan Shengyu accuses her of hiding her lover. Suddenly, Su Chengcheng appears, claiming she and Tang Qi are the ones having a rendezvous in the lab. Tang Qi, initially surprised, plays along to protect Fang Jin. Guan Shengyu, ever the antagonist, insults Su Chengcheng's appearance, but Tang Qi steps up to defend her. Later, Su Chengcheng explains to Tang Qi that she was looking for Fang Jin and stumbled upon Guan Shengyu's "raid," fabricating Fang Jin's escape. That night, Su Chengcheng can't stop thinking about Tang Qi defending her, replaying the scene and even examining herself in the mirror, searching for a flattering angle.
The next day, Guan Shengyu leaks a photo of Tang Qi and Su Chengcheng embracing, causing a stir at Qiandaoli Company. Colleagues buzz with questions about their supposed romance, while Xu Yue expresses jealousy and snide remarks, accusing Su Chengcheng of deliberately seeking Tang Qi's attention. Tang Qi once again defends Su Chengcheng. To maintain the charade against Guan Shengyu's tactics, Tang Qi proposes a weekly flower delivery to Su Chengcheng, albeit at her expense.
Su Qingli points out that Guan Shengyu's unauthorized photo release is an invasion of privacy, suggesting legal action for emotional distress. Meanwhile, to aid Fang Jin's divorce, Lin Yuan plans to gather evidence of Guan Shengyu's infidelity. She successfully approaches his mistress under the guise of a prize giveaway. Lin Yuan and Gu Yu find themselves on a nature outing, where Gu Yu is captivated by Lin Yuan's optimistic and cheerful personality, developing feelings for her. He plans a dinner invitation for a deeper connection, but Lin Yuan's prior engagement with Su Chengcheng and others forces him to postpone. During the girls' dinner, news breaks that Fang Jin has awakened, but the hospital first informs Guan Shengyu. Fearing for Fang Jin's safety, the three women rush to the hospital, only to find that Guan Shengyu has already taken her.
Tang Qi witnesses Guan Shengyu dragging Fang Jin away and follows them, updating Su Qingli. Guan Shengyu takes Fang Jin to a warehouse, intending to harm her, but Tang Qi intervenes, only to be knocked unconscious by security. The three women arrive at the warehouse, but it's heavily guarded, and their phones have no signal to call for help. Su Chengcheng disguises herself as Fang Jin and enters the company building, encountering Tang Qi, who has escaped his bonds. She hides Tang Qi and goes to find Fang Jin, encountering the real Fang Jin, who has also escaped. Su Chengcheng then confronts Guan Shengyu to allow Fang Jin to get away. Tang Qi is left utterly confused by Su Chengcheng and Fang Jin's back-and-forth actions.
