Gu Yu takes Tang Qi home, but Tang Qi, noticing a peculiar "color" on a stranger, is compelled to follow. Meanwhile, Lin Yuan attends an editors' gathering, where her rival relentlessly mocks her. Suddenly, Quan Shengtang appears, bearing flowers and pretending to be Lin Yuan's suitor. Lin Yuan plays along, basking in the admiration Shengtang's handsome appearance garners. The charade is interrupted by Gu Yu, who, witnessing the scene, pushes Shengtang aside. Both Shengtang and Lin Yuan are puzzled by Gu Yu's actions. Gu Yu, realizing Lin Yuan is being harassed, pretends to be another suitor, jealous of her interaction with Shengtang. The women at the gathering, upon learning Gu Yu is the founder of the prestigious QianNiao Ji, are visibly impressed.

Tang Qi, observing everything, pulls Shengtang aside to question him. Initially, Shengtang claims he and Lin Yuan were merely acting, with Fang Jin's knowledge. However, Tang Qi's real concern is the "color" he sees on Shengtang, and he presses for a connection to Su Chengcheng. He even plans to call Chengcheng to get to the bottom of it. But when Tang Qi calls, Shengtang's phone rings. It's revealed that Shengtang is actually Su Chengcheng in disguise. Unable to answer Tang Qi's call, Shengtang makes a hasty excuse and escapes.

Later, Lin Yuan confronts Gu Yu about his pretense of being her suitor. Gu Yu seizes the opportunity to confess his feelings, but Lin Yuan reacts strongly, rejecting the idea of a relationship and wanting to distance herself from him. Gu Yu quickly backtracks, claiming he only sees her as a friend, and they awkwardly reconcile.

Tang Qi, at a bar, ponders the connection between Shengtang and Chengcheng, and the mysterious "color" he sees on them. Chengcheng, meanwhile, is equally confused, wondering if Tang Qi suspects something. She consults Lin Yuan, who is distracted by the day's events. Sensing Lin Yuan's preoccupation, Chengcheng decides to call Tang Qi to gauge his suspicions.

Gu Yu answers Tang Qi's phone, as Tang Qi is drunk. Lin Yuan, hearing Gu Yu's voice, grabs the phone, apologizes, and asks if they can remain friends.

The next day at work, Tang Qi notices the "color" on Su Chengcheng again, confirming it's not random. Zhou Jinli, learning of Tang Qi's color vision loss, becomes anxious and seeks ways to help him recover.

The company introduces a new entrepreneurial concept, but Chengcheng struggles to integrate the 40-year-old and 20-year-old demographics. Working late, she's intercepted by Gu Yu and Tang Qi. Tang Qi invites Chengcheng to ride with them, but she, fearing exposure, declines and opts for the subway. Tang Qi follows her.

Chengcheng tests Tang Qi's vision, finding it normal. A sudden surge of passengers pushes them together, and Tang Qi realizes he can see colors when in contact with Chengcheng. As they sit in a park, Tang Qi gazes at Chengcheng, seeing a resemblance to Fang Jin.
