Episode Summary
Su Chengcheng, with the help of Lin Yuan and her upgraded bracelet, fakes Quan Shengtang's death to deceive Tang Qi. Tang Qi discovers the ruse through blood analysis and a lack of records. He then pretends to be blind to expose Su Chengcheng's lies further, ultimately revealing he knows she's been deceiving him.

The episode opens with Su Chengcheng, Quan Shengtang, and Su Qingli in an ambulance, celebrating their successful deception of Tang Qi. They've used Su Chengcheng's upgraded filter bracelet, which now has 3D printing and projection capabilities, to fake Quan Shengtang's death. The "sick" Quan Shengtang was actually Lin Yuan, transformed by the bracelet. Su Chengcheng had initially hesitated to go through with such a cruel plan, but after seeing photos of Tang Qi at her home, sent by Su Qingli, she hardened her resolve. Su Qingli, ever the voice of reason, warns Su Chengcheng about the potential unknown side effects of overusing the bracelet.
Meanwhile, a heartbroken Tang Qi is alerted by Gu Yu to bloodstains on his clothes. Examining them, Tang Qi realizes the blood's color is off. Gu Yu points out the improbably high number of sudden deaths Tang Qi has witnessed recently. At the lab, Tang Qi confirms the "blood" is merely stage blood, a pigment used in movies. This means Quan Shengtang isn't dead. Tang Qi tries to contact Fang Jin, Quan Shengtang's supposed girlfriend, but her phone is off. Gu Yu learns from Fang Jin's secretary that she's out of the country, which further deepens the mystery, because it is improbable that Fang Jin would be unaware of her boyfriend's accident. Tang Qi and Gu Yu then visit the police station, but find no record of Quan Shengtang.
The next morning, Su Chengcheng is awakened by a call from Tang Qi, who wants to attend Quan Shengtang's funeral. Su Chengcheng lies, claiming Quan Shengtang has already been cremated and his ashes scattered in a river. Tang Qi presses for information about Quan Shengtang's family, forcing Su Chengcheng to invent a grandmother.
Tang Qi visits the supposed grandmother (who is actually Su Chengcheng in disguise), probing for information and even offering to care for her. Gu Yu, meanwhile, investigates the neighborhood, questioning the neighbors. Suddenly, Tang Qi experiences temporary blindness. The "grandmother" rushes him to the hospital, demonstrating surprising agility on the way.
At the hospital, tests reveal no physical cause for Tang Qi's blindness. Doctors suggest it's a psychological reaction to the shock of Quan Shengtang's "death." Su Chengcheng, feeling guilty, believes she's responsible.
Su Chengcheng takes Tang Qi home and cares for him. When Gu Yu arrives, Tang Qi insists that Gu Yu drive Su Chengcheng home. After they leave, Tang Qi reveals he was faking his blindness to expose Su Chengcheng's lies. He saw everything clearly. He then calls Su Chengcheng, but she, being with Gu Yu, can't answer freely. Worried, she has Gu Yu call Tang Qi to check on him.
Lin Yuan returns the "grandmother's" house and runs into Gu Yu and Su Chengcheng. It turns out the house actually belongs to Lin Yuan's grandmother. Lin Yuan quickly ushers her grandmother away. Still concerned about Tang Qi, Su Chengcheng, back in her own identity, calls him to express her concern.
