This episode of "Filter" is packed with action, romance, and some seriously awkward tech glitches! Tang Qi and Su Chengcheng are on a mission to send photos to Jiang Xizhen, but they're caught by security guards right after leaving the library. A chase ensues, and it triggers a flashback for Tang Qi. He remembers Su Chengcheng always following him during high school track practice, realizing she's had a crush on him for a long time.
Su Chengcheng, seeing Tang Qi behind her, grabs his hand, and they run together. Eventually cornered, Su Chengcheng uses her high-tech bracelet to make them appear as high school students, allowing them to escape. This close call prompts Tang Qi to ask if Su Chengcheng liked him back in high school. She admits she did, flustered by the sudden question. Tang Qi then confesses his feelings for her, but Su Chengcheng is skeptical. She believes he once thought she was ugly and couldn't possibly like her.
Tang Qi, confused by her reasoning, remembers an embarrassing moment from a class reunion where Su Chengcheng spilled cola on herself. To prove his point, he does the same, spraying cola on his face. He explains that when he commented on her appearance before, it was because her makeup was unstable, not because she was unattractive. He also clarifies that his past interest in Su Miao and Fang Jin was due to their personalities, not their looks.
Just as they're in the middle of this heartfelt confession, the security guards reappear! Su Chengcheng's bracelet malfunctions again due to weather interference, causing her face to rapidly change between different ages. Tang Qi quickly embraces her to hide her face, and they make a hasty escape. Finally, Su Chengcheng reciprocates Tang Qi's feelings, and they share their first genuine embrace.
Later, Jiang Xizhen treats Tang Qi and Su Chengcheng to dinner to thank them. However, Su Chengcheng is stuck looking like her older self due to a filter upgrade. She's reluctant to go out, but Tang Qi insists.
Because of her altered appearance, Su Chengcheng can't go home. She texts her parents, saying she'll stay at Lin Yuan's place. But Lin Yuan is actually with Su Chengcheng's parents, and they see a message from Su Chengcheng saying she'll be staying at Tang Qi's! Su Chengcheng's parents pressure Lin Yuan to find out what's going on between Su Chengcheng and Tang Qi. Su Chengcheng openly tells Lin Yuan that she and Tang Qi are dating.
Later, Gu Yu drops Lin Yuan off at home. Lin Yuan reveals that she considers Su Chengcheng's parents like her own and suggests Gu Yu meet them, which makes him nervous about the prospect of meeting the "parents."
The next morning, the filter upgrade is complete, and Su Chengcheng returns to her normal appearance. The filter now has a new feature: a thought bubble that appears above her head. At first, Su Chengcheng thinks it's useless, but when she meets Tang Qi, her inner thoughts are displayed for him to see! Tang Qi, now privy to her every thought, starts acting more boldly, perfectly aligning his actions with her desires.
Su Chengcheng is puzzled by his behavior until Tang Qi finally reveals the truth about the thought bubble. She tries to look at it, but it moves with her head. Finally, she sees it in a mirror and is shocked to discover her inner monologue is on display. Tang Qi, knowing her true feelings, makes another heartfelt confession. He follows her inner (opposite) desire to kiss her passionately, but both are hesitant because it's their first time. After a long, awkward pause, they finally share a deep kiss.
