Spoiler Alert
The morning after Su Chengcheng (Landi Li) discovers she's become invisible, she tries desperately to remove the mysterious bracelet that started it all, but it's stuck fast. Tang Qi (Tan Jianci), ever the supportive (and oblivious) boyfriend, has breakfast ready for her. Since Chengcheng is in a state of invisibility, going to work is out of the question. She calls in sick, prompting a worried call from her best friend, Lin Yuan. Lin Yuan, having heard about the "sick" day from Gu Yu, is immediately suspicious. When she can't hear Chengcheng on the phone, Chengcheng texts her, frustrated, and asks about situations where people become invisible. Lin Yuan's advice? Face the consequences of your actions head-on, reminding Chengcheng that she chose to wear the "filter" bracelet. Chengcheng takes this to heart and bravely ventures outside.
Her invisibility immediately causes problems. She can't hail a cab, and navigating crowded streets becomes a frantic game of dodgeball. She ends up taking the bus, trying her best to avoid bumping into anyone.
Meanwhile, Tang Qi tracks down the flower shop where the old woman who gave Chengcheng the bracelet was last seen. The shop owner denies ever seeing the woman, but, clearly smitten with Tang Qi, offers to "keep an eye out" and tries to get his WeChat info. Just then, the shop's wind chimes ring – Chengcheng has arrived. Tang Qi, sensing her presence, grabs her hand and leaves without adding the shop owner. He asks Chengcheng why she didn't stay home, and she texts him, explaining her need to face this situation herself. Tang Qi, respecting her decision, supports her.
A call from the police station – they've found information about the old woman, thanks to Tang Qi's earlier request. However, the news is shocking: the woman died two years ago. This throws both Tang Qi and Chengcheng for a loop. If the woman Chengcheng met wasn't the real one, who was she? Tang Qi theorizes that if the filter bracelet can change appearances, the "old woman" could have been anyone – even a man. Chengcheng is at a loss for where to go from here.
Tang Qi enlists a classmate's help to find out if any labs have researched similar bracelets. Lin Yuan confronts Gu Yu, sensing something's up with Chengcheng's sudden absence from work. Chengcheng, meanwhile, has a blunt idea: cut the bracelet off. But the bracelet is indestructible, resisting all her attempts. They need professional help, and heavy-duty tools, which poses a risk to Chengcheng's arm.
During the attempt to cut the bracelet, Chengcheng gets hurt. Tang Qi rushes to get medicine, leaving her alone on a bench. A group of bullies picking on a child catches Chengcheng's attention. She intervenes, but as she returns to the bench, a stray soccer ball knocks her unconscious. She collapses in the street, surrounded by traffic. Tang Qi, unable to see her, is frantic. He takes off his glasses, using his tetrachromacy (four-color vision) to scan the surroundings, finally spotting her just as a car speeds towards her. He races to stop the car, saving her.
Later, Wang Yi and others, worried about Chengcheng, plan to visit her at home. However, Chengcheng's parents believe she's away on a business trip. Sensing something is wrong, her parents text her, claiming her father has fallen. Tang Qi, with the invisible Chengcheng, rushes back, only to bump into Su Qingli, who is shocked by the situation.
