Spoiler Alert

This episode of Filter throws a major curveball, all thanks to a misunderstanding about pregnancy! Tang Qi has been busy developing a bunch of new products for QianNiao Ji's first brick-and-mortar store. Su Chengcheng loves the new products, but she's hesitant to try them out, saying she doesn't want to wear makeup. Gu Yu walks in, and the conversation takes a turn. Gu Yu, overhearing Chengcheng's reluctance, immediately jumps to the conclusion that she's pregnant and avoiding cosmetics for the baby's safety. He even blurts it out to Tang Qi, mentioning Chengcheng's visit to the OB-GYN. Tang Qi and Chengcheng are both stunned.

Gu Yu, completely misinterpreting the situation, is baffled when Tang Qi even questions how Chengcheng could be pregnant. Chengcheng, trying to protect her friend Lin Yuan, decides to play along with the misunderstanding. She gives Tang Qi some serious side-eye, and he quickly catches on that Lin Yuan might be the one who's actually pregnant. Tang Qi manages to get Gu Yu out of the room, leaving Gu Yu to stew outside, worried about what might be happening between Tang Qi and Chengcheng.

Once they're alone, Gu Yu confronts Tang Qi, accusing him of being the reason Chengcheng is hiding the "pregnancy." He even suggests that Chengcheng seems carefree and might not even want the baby, pushing Tang Qi to marry her quickly. Tang Qi, in the know, can only sit there and take it, subtly hinting that Gu Yu should have a serious talk with Lin Yuan. Of course, Gu Yu thinks Tang Qi is just worried about being a third wheel.

Later that evening, Lin Yuan and Chengcheng are about to head out when Gu Yu shows up with a feast, wanting to spend quality time together. He tells Lin Yuan about Chengcheng's supposed pregnancy, shocking Lin Yuan. To make matters even more complicated, Su Qingli (Chengcheng's sister) arrives with soup and overhears the pregnancy news, too.

The misunderstanding escalates, and Chengcheng's parents summon her and Tang Qi home for a serious interrogation. Her parents and sister grill them about marriage plans, making it clear they believe Chengcheng is pregnant. Chengcheng is in a tight spot, not wanting to betray Lin Yuan. Tang Qi finally steps up and reveals the truth: it's not Chengcheng who's pregnant. Her parents immediately demand to see Lin Yuan.

Meanwhile, Lin Yuan is a nervous wreck. She feels guilty about Gu Yu's unwavering care and finally confesses to him that she's pregnant. Gu Yu, remembering his earlier advice to Tang Qi, realizes he's been the one lacking confidence in their relationship. He doesn't blame Lin Yuan, though, showing a supportive and understanding side.

After dinner, Chengcheng and Tang Qi return to his place. Tang Qi shows her a promotional video about octopuses and squids, emphasizing their ability to adapt to their environment. He's trying to address Chengcheng's insecurities about makeup, stemming from her past experiences with the "filter." He wants her to break through her psychological barrier, reassuring her that he cares about her, regardless of whether she wears makeup or not.

Tang Qi's encouragement works, and Chengcheng finally puts on makeup and heads to work with newfound confidence. She's complimented by her coworker, Wang Yi, and the positive vibes spread throughout the office. The team at QianNiao Ji is hard at work preparing for the launch of their first physical store. The store layout and featured products are ready, and Chengcheng presents a brilliant plan: using cutting-edge technology to allow customers to "try on" makeup virtually, without the hassle of constant application and removal. Manager Zhou and the entire team are impressed with her innovative solution.
