Lin Yuan has a supermarket mishap, and Gu Yu helps her. Su Chengcheng's plan to harm Tang Qi goes awry, involving fireworks, a fake spider, a meteor, and a lightning strike, leading to Tang Qi fainting. The episode opens with Lin Yuan having a bit of a mishap at the supermarket. While browsing outdoor gear, she slips and ends up taking a wild ride in a shopping cart, crashing into a display of neatly stacked candies. The store employees are understandably concerned about the damaged goods, but Lin Yuan, ever the problem-solver, offers to buy all the affected candy. Just then, Gu Yu happens to be nearby. He witnesses the scene and, in a smooth, gentlemanly move, offers Lin Yuan his jacket to cover up a tear in her pants. This act of kindness leaves a warm impression on Lin Yuan.
Back at home, Lin Yuan shows off her shopping haul to Su Qingli and Su Chengcheng. Su Qingli urges Su Chengcheng to speed things up with her plan, wanting to avoid any unforeseen complications. Su Chengcheng assures her that she'll complete her task quickly, ensuring Tang Qi won't suffer. Meanwhile, Tang Qi is waiting at a remote location, a bit anxious about the whole setup. He admits to Su Chengcheng, when she finally arrives, that he initially thought it was all a prank because of the desolate surroundings.
Su Chengcheng brought fireworks, suggesting to Tang Qi to enjoy the romantic moment together. Although it is daytime, the fireworks are not very effective, Tang Qi still accepts her proposal. Su Chengcheng, wanting to add a bit of excitement, uses her bracelet to conjure up a (thankfully fake) spider on herself. Tang Qi, terrified of spiders, immediately tries to swat it away. Su Chengcheng is both embarrassed and grateful for his quick reaction, explaining that the spider is highly venomous – a bite on the hand might be survivable, but a bite on the neck would be fatal.
Su Chengcheng is clearly enjoying herself and is reluctant to leave. Tang Qi notices her shivering and offers her his jacket, advising her to bundle up if they're going to stay longer. But Su Chengcheng, full of confidence, insists she's fine. She then points to the sky, exclaiming that she sees a shooting star, though Tang Qi thinks it's just more fireworks in the distance. However, Su Chengcheng secretly activates her bracelet's magic, and a real meteor streaks across the sky. Tang Qi, ever alert, pulls Su Chengcheng into a protective roll, narrowly avoiding any danger. Afterward, Su Chengcheng is filled with regret. Her intention was to recreate Su Miao's unfortunate accident, but things turned out very differently.
The weather takes a turn for the worse, with dark clouds gathering and thunder rumbling. Still, Su Chengcheng wants to stay and asks Tang Qi to take some photos of her. After a series of snapshots, a bolt of lightning strikes Su Chengcheng. Although it only leaves her face temporarily blackened, the incident shocks Tang Qi. When Tang Qi regains his composure, he finds Su Chengcheng is unharmed, but he himself faints from the stress. He wakes up in a hospital bed, where he's reminded that his eyes are unusually sensitive and require extra care.
Tang Qi is desperate to see Su Miao, but Gu Yu and others stop him, breaking the devastating news that Su Miao has passed away. Tang Qi is utterly stunned and heartbroken. Gu Yu suggests they hold a memorial service, and Su Chengcheng, despite her inner turmoil, helps organize the event. Tang Qi attends, consumed by guilt and self-reproach for not being able to protect Su Miao.
Su Chengcheng is puzzled when she learns Tang Qi has taken time off work. His colleagues speculate that he must be seriously ill, as he's known for his unwavering dedication. Su Chengcheng feels a pang of guilt, while Lin Yuan tries to comfort her, suggesting that Su Miao's death might have been a release for her. At Su Miao's memorial, everyone drowns their sorrows in alcohol, while Tang Qi goes to Su Miao's favorite restaurant and forces himself to eat food he dislikes, a symbolic farewell to the past.
Gu Yu visits Lin Yuan, hoping to retrieve Su Miao's belongings, only to find out they've been burned. However, he discovers that a prop used during a photoshoot was accidentally overlooked and is now in Tang Qi's possession. Su Chengcheng is immediately alarmed, fearing that her fingerprints on the item could expose her true identity.
