Su Chengcheng cares for the injured Lin Yuan and deals with the aftermath of Su Miao's "death," including a text from Tang Qi. This episode of "Filter" sees a lot of emotional fallout and shifting dynamics. With Lin Yuan injured and unable to walk easily, Su Chengcheng brings her home to be cared for by her family.Su Chengcheng feels a sense of relief now that Su Miao's identity is completely gone, believing she can finally relax and stop the double-life charade. However, a text message arrives on Su Miao's phone – a farewell message from Tang Qi. The next day at work, Su Chengcheng has an awkward elevator encounter with Tang Qi, noticing he's still wearing the bracelet. She realizes she needs to keep up the act a bit longer, at least until after Su Miao's seventh-day memorial period. To protect Tang Qi, Zhou Jinli and Gu Yu order the removal of all Su Miao posters and forbid any mention of her within the company.
Worried about Tang Qi, Zhou Jinli and Gu Yu find him in his office, fully engrossed in developing a new product. He even has the team test it out, showing that he's channeling his emotions into his work. Su Chengcheng is relieved to see him so focused.
Meanwhile, Lin Yuan, seeking inspiration, goes to the riverside to sketch. A fishing mishap involving Gu Yu and his friend leads to Lin Yuan's drawing board being knocked over. Gu Yu apologizes profusely, and his friend offers to replace her art supplies with his daughter's. Lin Yuan declines the offer, instead wanting to catch the fish that caused the accident and release it. The fish has already been released, but the incident sparks a conversation between Lin Yuan and Gu Yu, and she finds the inspiration she was looking for, thanking him for his unintentional help.
Later, as Su Chengcheng is about to leave work, she learns that Xu Yue's mother is ill and volunteers to cover for her. She finds Tang Qi still working diligently in the lab and delivers the latest product testing reports. Tang Qi takes the opportunity to ask for her opinion on the products. Su Chengcheng picks two from the data and provides a convincing rationale, pleasing Tang Qi, who immediately returns to his experiments, leaving Su Chengcheng with an awkward smile.
Su Chengcheng is about to go home, and coincidentally, Tang Qi is also leaving. They share an elevator, and when Su Chengcheng sees Tang Qi about to call a driver, she realizes his eyes are still preventing him from driving. Having previously worked as a driver, she offers to drive him home. The car ride is filled with attempts at small talk, but they struggle to find common ground. Tang Qi plays some music, which triggers a memory of seeing Su Chengcheng in school, seemingly demanding money from other female students. He mistakenly thought she was bullying them. Su Chengcheng is surprised that Tang Qi noticed her back then, as he was a famous top student, while she considered herself a "study slacker." It turns out Tang Qi had misinterpreted the situation; Su Chengcheng was actually on good terms with the students.
Su Chengcheng's sister, Su Qingli, keeps calling. Unable to answer while driving, Su Chengcheng asks Tang Qi to take the call. Su Qingli is shocked to hear Tang Qi's voice and sends Su Chengcheng an address, urging her to come immediately. Tang Qi notices that Su Chengcheng has the same bag accessory as Su Miao, but she brushes it off, saying they have similar tastes.
Su Chengcheng arrives at a hospital, where it's revealed that Su Qingli's close friend, Fang Jin, co-owns a company with her husband. However, her husband is a "scumbag" who cheated on Fang Jin with a company employee, subjected her to domestic violence, and stole her research results, planning to sell them secretly. Fang Jin is now in a coma due to a car accident. To prevent the sale of her friend's research, Su Qingli wants Su Chengcheng to impersonate Fang Jin.
Meanwhile, Tang Qi is negotiating a partnership with Xinnan Technology. Because Gu Yu and Zhou Jinli are unavailable, Tang Qi handles the meeting himself. He arrives at Xinnan Technology, but the other party is overly eager to sign the contract. It turns out that Xinnan Technology is the very company owned by Su Qingli's friend and her abusive husband. Su Chengcheng, disguised as Fang Jin, arrives at the company, and is spotted by Tang Qi. The episode ends on this cliffhanger, leaving the audience to wonder how Tang Qi will react and what Su Chengcheng's next move will be.
