Episode Summary
Feng Dakai acquires Kebao Company, renames it Qike, and puts Zhao Mingda in charge, only to reveal a plan to use the company for export tax fraud. Zheng Hao and team investigate Jincheng Company for similar fraudulent activities, discovering inflated export numbers and suspicious employee records. Meanwhile, relationships develop, and professional successes are celebrated.

In Episode 29, Feng Dakai's relentless efforts to acquire Kebao Company pay off, and he renames it Qike, placing Zhao Mingda in charge. However, Zhao Mingda soon realizes that Feng Dakai intends to use him for illicit activities. Confronting Feng Dakai, Zhao Mingda learns the plan is to exploit Qike for export tax rebates, a scheme Zhao Mingda considers fraudulent. Feng Dakai dismisses these concerns, even bringing up Zhao Wan'er's illness to pressure Zhao Mingda, leaving him momentarily speechless.
Meanwhile, Zheng Hao and Li Dongjie, along with their colleagues from the First and Second Inspection Teams, celebrate solving the Duoyuan Company's tax evasion case. The celebration includes some light-hearted teasing about Xiong Yi's relationship with Li Xinxin, jokingly referring to him as the "son-in-law" of the Second Inspection Team. Li Dongjie returns home late to his wife, who wordlessly helps him with his injured shoulder. Gao Peng discovers a box of accusatory posters against his father, which he discards in the trash.
Manager Mai, upon hearing about the investigation into Duoyuan Company and reviewing Liang Jinqiu's tax report, is convinced of Liang Jinqiu's expertise. He seeks to renew a contract with Liang Jinqiu and Yu Dana, who is overjoyed. Manager Mai even brings gifts and invites them to dinner, though Liang Jinqiu has to attend a school anniversary event, which Manager Mai accepts without issue.
Liang Jinqiu arrives at the school on time and performs exceptionally well with Chen Xiaoxing, earning first place. The teacher expresses gratitude to Liang Jinqiu. Zheng Hao rushes to the school to pick up Chen Xiaoxing and is pleased to see Liang Jinqiu's caring interaction with Chen Xiaoxing. Chen Xiaoxing excitedly shares the good news with Zheng Hao, who remarks that Liang Jinqiu seems different today and invites them both for barbecue to celebrate.
The Anxia Customs uncovers that Jincheng Company is suspected of export tax fraud and refers the case to the Inspection Bureau. Song Minghong assigns the case to Zheng Hao. Export tax rebates, a measure to support businesses, are being exploited by criminals through fake exports. Zheng Hao briefs Xiong Yi, Shi Haifeng, and others about Jincheng Company, an overseas exporter of figurines.
Jincheng Company's owner, Jin Chengwu, is obsessed with developing children's toys and is clueless about other aspects of the business. Zheng Hao, Xiong Yi, Shi Haifeng and team arrive at the factory to investigate. The finance department's supervisor, Ms. She, reveals that they only inflated export sales figures and warns Jin Chengwu not to reveal anything. Jin Chengwu shows Zheng Hao's team around the workshop, but he is ignorant of the production details, with Ms. She prompting him.
Zheng Hao wants to check the financial records, but Ms. She claims the accountant, Xiao Liu, is absent, trying to get Zheng Hao's team to leave. Jin Chengwu offers to call Xiao Liu, but Ms. She pulls him aside, warning him to be careful what he says. Jin Chengwu gives Zheng Hao the key to the finance office. Xiong Yi and Shi Haifeng immediately start their work. Xiong Yi discovers several employees listed in the roster are over seventy years old. Ms. She claims nearby workers lost their IDs and used those people's IDs as substitutes.
As noon approaches, Jin Chengwu invites Zheng Hao and his team to lunch, but Zheng Hao politely declines. They take the financial records back in the rain. Zheng Hao learns from the cafeteria staff that the workers operate in three shifts, and the factory doesn't provide night snacks. Xiong Yi wants to verify the situation with the impersonated individuals, but Zheng Hao decides to avoid alerting the suspects and plans to revisit the factory at 8 PM with Xiong Yi and Shi Haifeng.
Zheng Hao, Xiong Yi, and Shi Haifeng go for a night run. Zheng Hao fakes a stomachache to use the restroom at the Jincheng factory. Shi Haifeng distracts the security guard while Xiong Yi and Zheng Hao sneak into the workshop. The workshop is empty, with machines running idle. Zheng Hao concludes that Jincheng Company is fraudulently claiming export tax rebates by inflating export figures. Xiong Yi is eager to get back to his date with Li Xinxin. He runs back, only to find that Zheng Hao has ordered a ride-hailing service.
Jin Chengwu inquires with Ms. She about the Tax Bureau's investigation. Ms. She confidently assures him that she has handled everything and that the company issuing the invoices has already fled, leaving Jin Chengwu puzzled.
