Ren Sumin makes peace with Zheng Hao. Zheng Hao and Li Dongjie's investigation reveals Qike Company's tax fraud scheme, leading to coordinated raids and arrests. Zhao Jingyi implicates Feng Dakai, who is arrested but remains silent. Zhan Si turns himself in and provides evidence against Feng Dakai, including his involvement in Chen Dajun's murder. Ren Sumin, witnessing the lingering affection between Liang Jinqiu and Zheng Hao, and the reconciliation between Liang Zhongwei and Zheng Tianchou, finally lets go of her long-held grudges. She extends an olive branch to Zheng Hao, inviting him to dinner, a gesture that leaves him overjoyed. Liang Zhongwei is also deeply gratified by Ren Sumin's change of heart.
Meanwhile, Zheng Hao and Li Dongjie, along with Li Xinxin, Xiong Yi, Gao Peng, and Zhang Lu, make a breakthrough in their investigation. Their relentless efforts reveal that Qike Company operates two logistics lines: one overt and one covert. The overt line, Dawei Logistics, always pays in cash and avoids invoices, masking the operations of the Muyun Factory.
Li Dongjie's on-site investigation near the Muyun Factory uncovers that the factory is unusually quiet during the day but operates at full capacity at night. Captain Pan, posing as a motorcycle taxi driver, picks up a female worker leaving the factory. He learns that the factory produces packaging for cell phones, all of which are exported. Zheng Hao's further investigation shows that Qike Company exports the phones to Southeast Asia, only for Muyun Factory to immediately buy them back at a low price. The phones are then stripped of their packaging and returned to Qike via Dawei Logistics, where they are repackaged and re-exported to Southeast Asia. This circular export scheme is designed to fraudulently claim tax refunds.
With irrefutable evidence of Qike Company's tax evasion scheme, Captain Pan decides to initiate a coordinated takedown. He enlists Zheng Hao and Li Dongjie's full cooperation. Captain Pan devises a plan to simultaneously raid both Qike Company and the Muyun Factory. Li Dongjie volunteers to join Captain Pan's team, while Zheng Hao partners with Zhu Xiaofei.
Captain Pan and Li Dongjie lead their team to Qike Company, arresting Zhao Jingyi on the spot. Simultaneously, Zheng Hao and Zhu Xiaofei raid the Muyun Factory, apprehending all relevant personnel. Zhao Mingda rushes to inform Feng Dakai about Zhao Jingyi's arrest. He's furious that Zhan Si disappeared without a word and orders Lu Wangshui to find Zhan Si at all costs.
Feng Dakai, realizing the game is up, pins his hopes on Zhao Mingda. Zhao Mingda vows to do everything in his power to save Qike Company. Zheng Hao, however, feels uneasy, sensing something is amiss. Li Dongjie tries to reassure him, advising him to rest. Xiong Yi makes amends with Li Xinxin, gifting her a helmet and promising to escort her home daily. Li Xinxin, having already forgiven him, reveals that she's told her parents about their relationship, leaving Xiong Yi ecstatic.
Shen Yue accompanies Zhao Wan'er to the airport. As they are about to check in, Chen Xiaoxing is nowhere to be seen. Zhao Wan'er is visibly disappointed. Shen Yue suspects Chen Xiaoxing is stuck in traffic and encourages Zhao Wan'er to message him. Chen Xiaoxing and Zheng Tianchou arrive at the airport too late; Shen Yue and Zhao Wan'er have already boarded. Chen Xiaoxing had intended to give Zhao Wan'er a sketchbook of his drawings. Zheng Tianchou advises him to wait until Zhao Wan'er returns after her treatment.
Zhao Jingyi, during police questioning, follows Zhao Mingda's instructions and implicates Feng Dakai. Feng Dakai is arrested, but he remains silent during Captain Pan's interrogation. Captain Pan compiles a list of Feng Dakai's contacts and asks Zheng Hao to assist in the investigation. Zheng Hao discovers Zhao Mingda's name on the list, and Captain Pan reveals that Zhao Mingda had previously helped Qike with industrial planning.
Zheng Hao invites Zhao Mingda to dinner, subtly probing him about Qike. Zhao Mingda feigns ignorance. Lu Wangshui, unable to locate Zhan Si and learning of Feng Dakai's arrest, calls the mayor's secretary for help, but the secretary doesn't answer. Lu Wangshui stakes out the restaurant and sees Zhao Mingda and Zheng Hao exiting. Lu Wangshui drives past Zhao Mingda, who recognizes him. Fearing Lu Wangshui might retaliate, Zhao Mingda immediately calls "Brother Yong" to initiate a plan.
Zheng Hao, unable to sleep, suspects Zhao Mingda is involved in the Qike case, but Zhao Mingda denies it. Zheng Hao contacts Liang Jinqiu to inquire about Zhao Mingda. Twenty hours after Feng Dakai's arrest, Zhan Si turns himself in to the police, providing evidence of Feng Dakai's invoice fraud, tax evasion, and involvement in Chen Dajun's murder. Feng Dakai had hoped to be released after 24 hours, but Zhan Si's testimony thwarts his plan. Song Minghong informs Zheng Hao about Feng Dakai's role in Chen Dajun's murder, finally revealing the truth that Zheng Hao has sought for six years. He shares this information with Li Dongjie.
Li Dongjie, seeing Zheng Hao's distress, takes over the case analysis meeting. Xiong Yi seeks out Li Dongjie, offering to help Zheng Hao cope. Zheng Hao recalls that it was Lu Wangshui who threatened Zhao Mingda with a car. He confronts Zhao Mingda again, urging him to reveal the truth. Zhao Mingda remains evasive. However, Zheng Hao notices a piece of paper used for folding origami cranes on the floor of Zhao Mingda's office, a habit of Zhan Si's.
