While Rong Shu Kuang exhibits the expected allergic reaction, Liu An points out inconsistencies. Lin Shao Ci remembers leaving a scar on Rong Shu Kuang's arm in their youth, and the scar is indeed present. However, Lin Wan Ci supports Liu An's concerns. Yan Shao steps in, explaining that he rescued Rong Shu Kuang after she suffered a head injury from a Cold Ice Palm attack, causing memory loss. The others, feeling sympathy for Rong Shu Kuang, let the matter slide. Nevertheless, the Old Manor Lord, striving for fairness, orders Liu An to be whipped twenty times.
The next morning, Liu An, still limping, delivers breakfast to Rong Shu Kuang. Rong Shu Kuang claims she'll eat with Tang Ying Luo and tells Liu An to take a few days off to recover.
Bored at the manor, Rong Shu Kuang convinces Tang Ying Luo to go shopping. They are attacked, and Tang Ying Luo helps Rong Shu Kuang escape. Rong Shu Kuang finds herself in a restaurant's upper floor, stumbling upon Yan Shao, who is undergoing a poison-drawing bath. Misinterpreting the scene, she assumes he's involved with the man in the room. A nosebleed, triggered by the sight of Yan Shao's physique, causes Rong Shu Kuang to faint.
Upon waking, Rong Shu Kuang finds Yan Shao and Liu An by her side. Yan Shao suspects Liu An knows more about Rong Shu Kuang's condition beyond the Li Niang weed test. Liu An hurries away. Rong Shu Kuang playfully asks if Yan Shao likes men. Yan Shao leans in close, causing Rong Shu Kuang's heart to race. She pushes him away, declaring she knows he doesn't like men.
Lin Wan Ci invites Yan Shao to discuss Rong Shu Kuang's treatment. Rong Shu Kuang insists on joining. At Lin Wan Ci's request, Yan Shao demonstrates his impressive martial arts skills, showcasing his mastery of various styles. Yan Shao, claiming medical knowledge, offers to collaborate with Lin Wan Ci. Lin Wan Ci, feeling like a "frog in a well" after meeting Yan Shao, readily agrees. Rong Shu Kuang, also claiming to be a "frog in a well," wants to join, but Lin Shao Ci and others pull her away.
Lin Wan Ci worries about Rong Shu Kuang's impatience for recovery. Yan Shao, concerned about both the cold poison and a hidden toxin, agrees to immediate, high-dosage treatment, as Lin Wan Ci suggests. Tang Ying Luo, worried about the strong dosage, tries to intervene, but Yan Shao approves. Rong Shu Kuang finds the first bowl of medicine too bitter. Yan Shao takes it to add sugar. Lin Wan Ci gives Rong Shu Kuang a second bowl. Tang Ying Luo, pretending to cool it, secretly adds a toxic powder, hoping for a "fight poison with poison" effect, though she's only tested it on animals. Yan Shao is dismayed upon learning this, as he wants to keep Rong Shu Kuang's hidden toxin a secret. Tang Ying Luo expresses her frustration with Yan Shao, unsure of his allegiances.
After taking Tang Ying Luo's medicine, Rong Shu Kuang's speech becomes slurred, but Yan Shao helps her recover. Rong Shu Kuang hopes to regain her martial arts skills to be worthy of a swordsman.
Fearful of the medicines, Rong Shu Kuang learns from Lin Shao Ci's guard about a secret chamber in her room. She finds the entrance, triggered by a fallen teacup, and enters.
Inside, she finds ordinary items, but also discovers women's clothes, revealing Rong Shu Kuang's girly side. She finds Lin Shao Ci's flute, feeling sorry for Rong Shu Kuang's unrequited love. Rong Shu Kuang's books are filled with drawings of Lin Shao Ci, but the current "Rong Shu Kuang" only blushes for Yan Shao, making her feel like a two-timer. She finds a poem and an escape route map, which unexpectedly bring her to tears.
A hidden figure releases a small insect, which emits smoke in front of Rong Shu Kuang.
