After returning from the Jiang family, Zhen Heng can't get Jiang Si out of his mind. He feels even more sympathy for her after hearing from Madam Xiao about Jiang Si losing her mother at a young age. Zhen Heng's mother brings him a meal and notices his distracted demeanor, realizing he's thinking about Jiang Si. However, she's also observed a close bond between Jiang Si and Yu Qi, and she inquires about their relationship. Zhen Heng explains that Yu Qi saved Jiang Si's brother, leading to their closeness, but his mother suspects there might be more to it.

Meanwhile, Jiang Si is concerned about her older sister, Jiang Yi, and her well-being at her in-laws' home. She wants to know if Jiang Yi is facing any mistreatment. Madam Xiao, wanting to shield Jiang Si from worry, downplays the situation. However, Jiang Si picks up on the subtle hints in Jiang Yi's words and realizes that her sister's mother-in-law is giving her a hard time because Madam Xiao hasn't produced a grandson.

Yu Qi and Long Dan visit the black market to investigate the buyers of a mystical item called "Shenxian You" (Divine Travel). They find a suspicious individual selling goods and raising scorpions, but their observation is cut short when the suspect notices them.

Back at the Jiang residence, Jiang Si has been temporarily put in charge of household affairs by the Old Madam Jiang. She demands the account books from Madam Xiao, who is reluctant to relinquish control. Madam Xiao tries to reason with the Old Madam Jiang but is confined to her quarters, losing her chance. Jiang Si successfully obtains the account books and officially assumes her management role. Jiang Qian, Madam Xiao's daughter, is upset about her mother's loss of power and confronts the Old Madam Jiang. The Old Madam Jiang explains that Madam Xiao prioritized the second branch's status over the entire Jiang family, acting recklessly and potentially causing significant problems.

After the birthday celebration, Jiang Yi is about to depart. The first branch of the family comes out to see her off, and Jiang Si is heartbroken to see her sister leave, shedding tears out of worry.

Some of the older servants in the household are disrespectful towards Jiang Si, deliberately neglecting their duties, like not preparing meals on time, to make things difficult for her. In the evening, A'Man asks Jiang Si if she has feelings for Zhen Heng. Jiang Si admits to admiring him but clarifies that she doesn't have romantic feelings for him. A'Man suggests that Jiang Si and Yu Qi would be a better match. This prompts Jiang Si to realize that Yu Qi hasn't been monitoring her as closely as before, seemingly having dropped his suspicions. Although she feels relieved that he's no longer bothering her, she can't help but think about their past interactions.

The next morning, the breakfast served is bland and made with stale rice and spoiled cakes, a deliberate act of defiance by the servants. Jiang Si's uncle seizes the opportunity to challenge her authority, attempting to strip her of her management position. Jiang Ancheng defends Jiang Si, leading to an argument with his brother. The Old Madam Jiang intervenes, stopping the quarrel, and asks Jiang Si if she's struggling with her duties. Jiang Si assures her grandmother that she'll resolve everything within three days.

Some of the older servants, believing in their own cleverness, underestimate the young Jiang Si. However, Jiang Si doesn't punish them; instead, she brings in new cooks to replace them, causing panic among the older staff.

Madam Xiao plans to marry off Jiang Qian, hoping to use her daughter's marriage to gain power and influence. Jiang Si feels hurt, believing her mother has given up on her and is only interested in exploiting her marriage. She's so upset that she wants to leave the Jiang household and find her brother. Seeing that her own daughter is unreliable, Madam Xiao shifts her attention to Jiang Pei. Knowing that Madam Xiao will seek revenge on Jiang Pei once her confinement is lifted, Jiang Si works diligently to arrange a marriage for Jiang Pei. Jiang Pei's mother is deeply moved by Jiang Si's efforts.

Under Jiang Si's management, the Jiang household undergoes a transformation. The servants start performing their duties diligently, no longer causing trouble for Jiang Si. Everyone is satisfied, and even Madam Xiao, despite her unwillingness to let Jiang Si manage, has no choice but to abide by the family rules. Meanwhile, Yu Qi's operation at the black market progresses, and he captures the suspicious scorpion keeper.
