A car accident victim requires immediate surgery, forcing her to rush to the hospital in her blood-stained wedding dress. There, she meets Qin Wenbin, a cardiothoracic surgeon. The patient needs both brain and heart surgery, and Liu Ziyi, relying on her expertise, insists on performing the neurosurgery first. Qin Wenbin, though clearly not impressed by Liu Ziyi's assertive and seemingly insensitive demeanor, waits his turn.
After the intense surgery, Liu Ziyi returns home to her fiancé, Guan Yifan, with the soiled wedding dress. Knowing she might have to pay for the damages, she still tries to salvage it by washing it. The next day at the hospital, Liu Ziyi hands out wedding invitations, receiving congratulations from her colleagues. Her apprentice, Zuo Feng, faces a challenge: a young patient named Xiaoxiao refuses treatment, and her prognosis is grim. Liu Ziyi, having spoken to the family who refuses to give up, feels compelled to help. She patiently comforts Xiaoxiao, calming her down. The truth is eventually revealed to Guan Yifan's grandmother, who introduces Liu Ziyi as her granddaughter-in-law to Wang Gaosheng, the surgeon operating on Guan Yifan. Wang Gaosheng assures them the surgery was successful and shouldn't have lasting effects with proper recovery. Adding to the chaos, Guan Yifan's father suffers a heart attack in his son's ward. Luckily, Liu Ziyi is there to call for help. The current treatment plan is to wait for his blood pressure to stabilize before proceeding. Gu Shiyi asks Jiang Yu to keep a close eye on Guan Yifan's father, as he is the father of her good friend.
When Guan Yifan recovers, Liu Ziyi demands an explanation. He claims he was masturbating in his car, got desperate, and used the bottle, leading to the unfortunate incident. However, Liu Ziyi, being a doctor, knows there's more to the story.
