Wu Dachuan's focus on his child frustrates Qin Wenbin. Liu Ziyi suffers a slipped disc and visits a traditional Chinese medicine clinic with Qin Wenbin. Huang Tianming returns for surgery. Jiang Xue seeks evidence of Wu Dachuan's affair, putting Qin Wenbin in a difficult position. Gu Shiyi is reminded of her past trauma. In Episode 16 of "Good Will Society," the drama continues to unfold both inside and outside the hospital. Wu Dachuan is focused solely on protecting his child, leaving Qin Wenbin speechless with his reasoning. After work, Qin Wenbin finds Liu Ziyi frozen by her car, suffering from a slipped disc. Simple first aid doesn't do the trick, so he takes her to a traditional Chinese medicine clinic. Qin Wenbin, who has neck problems of his own, is a regular at the clinic, where he sees Dr. Li. While the doctor is a bit too chatty, Liu Ziyi doesn't mind. After meeting Qin Wenbin and Wang Gaosheng, no one seems overly talkative to her anymore.
Qin Wenbin tells Liu Ziyi about Aunt Jiang's hospital room, hoping she'll visit, given that a close neighbor is better than a distant relative. Aunt Jiang is recovering well and will be discharged soon. Liu Ziyi, not actually knowing Aunt Jiang, has an awkward encounter in the hospital room, mistaking another patient with a similar-sounding name for Aunt Jiang. Luckily, the real Aunt Jiang clears things up, but before they can chat much, Liu Ziyi is called back to her department.
It turns out Huang Tianming is back. Seeing Liu Ziyi clutching her back, he mistakenly thinks she's pregnant, which makes Zuo Feng laugh. Huang Tianming has been traveling all over, enjoying life, and wants to continue doing so. But, remembering Liu Ziyi's advice not to be a coward, he's decided to have surgery. He chooses the 26th for the operation, considering it his lucky number, and wants to be the first surgery of the day.
Qin Wenbin spots Pan Yue's friend, Jiang Xue (who is also Wu Dachuan's wife), at the hospital and senses something is amiss. He follows Jiang Xue to a ward where she's visiting Xiao Jing. Jiang Xue lies, claiming to be Wu Dachuan's cousin. Qin Wenbin, seeing them, doesn't expose the lie. Later, Jiang Xue reveals to him that she and Wu Dachuan are not divorced, and Wu Dachuan had a child with another woman. Jiang Xue is at the hospital to gather evidence of Wu Dachuan's infidelity, aiming to leave him penniless. She asks for Qin Wenbin's help, but he's conflicted, bound by his duty to protect patient privacy.
Meanwhile, Gu Shiyi receives a patient in the emergency room—a mother in a car accident, with her daughter waiting outside. The situation reminds Gu Shiyi of her own parents' accident and having to sign their death certificates, leaving her orphaned. She thought she had moved past it, but the pain resurfaces. Jiang Yu comforts her. Gu Shiyi, good at self-soothing, recovers after a good cry. Craving hot pot as a remedy, the five-member club finally manages a group dinner. Huang Tianming's surgery goes smoothly, although Liu Ziyi's back is still recovering. At Jiang Yu's family's hot pot restaurant, they discover he's secretly wealthy, with 38 hot pot restaurants in total, the main one in Shantou, managed by his mother.
