Episode Summary
Qin Wenbin fakes an injury to visit the Second Hospital, nearly getting caught. Wang Gaosheng faces family debt issues, offering his brother's store as repayment. He confronts his brother and promises his mother to find him work. Liu Ziyi and Gu Shiyi investigate Qin Wenbin's hospital visit. Xiao Hu inspires He Yingzi with his caregiver aspirations. A new patient arrives with a head injury, and Jiang Yu deals with a difficult family situation regarding Hao Hao.

In Episode 29 of "Good Will Society," things get awkward and complicated for several characters. Qin Wenbin, pretending to be injured, visits the Second Hospital (where his friend Lao Miao works) for a supposed rectal issue, and he is immediately scheduled for surgery the next day. He nearly blows his cover when Xiao Xu calls to check on him, and the hospital's PA system announces a call for the proctology department in the background.
Meanwhile, Liu Ziyi runs into Ding Hao in the hospital parking lot. He's waiting for her, bearing gifts and photos he took of her. Liu Ziyi, clearly uncomfortable, tries to deflect by mentioning Lulu, but Ding Hao insists he's just there to apologize and give her the pictures. The conversation gets even more awkward when Ding Hao brings up Qin Wenbin, and Liu Ziyi only says they are friends.
Gu Shiyi messages Wang Gaosheng about their training schedule, only to find out that both Wang Gaosheng and Jiang Yu have taken time off. Liu Ziyi and Gu Shiyi decide to postpone training. Back home, Wang Gaosheng tells his wife he's going to a seminar, but she's worried about him. He actually returns to his hometown, where he finds his younger brother absent and debt collectors demanding 100,000 yuan that his brother owes. Wang Gaosheng offers to transfer the ownership of the fruit store he bought for his brother and apologizes, embarrassing the debt collectors into accepting. His mother is heartbroken to see her eldest son in this situation. His brother finally shows up, reeking of food. During dinner, Wang Gaosheng confronts his brother about the debts, furious at his lack of remorse, and makes him kneel before their mother. The brother defiantly lists all he's done for their mother, making Wang Gaosheng feel guilty. That night, Wang Gaosheng helps his mother fold paper, and she expresses her wish for him to stay longer, but he has to leave the next day. He wants a better life for his mother, but she only wants her sons to be happy and worries about her younger son's idleness, asking Wang Gaosheng to find him a job in the city. He agrees because of his mother's request.
Back at the hospital, Liu Ziyi and Gu Shiyi, who were supposed to be off-duty, are both working. Gu Shiyi immediately gossips about someone spotting Qin Wenbin at the Second Hospital, and they start to suspect the earlier rumors about him. Gu Shiyi encourages Liu Ziyi to ask Qin Wenbin about it, recalling his previous rooftop injury.
At the Second Hospital, Lao Miao is applying ointment to Qin Wenbin post-surgery, jokingly giving him the nickname "Cheeky Doc." Qin Wenbin receives a call from Xiao Hu about aid funds and asks Qin Wenbin to help expedite the process. Qin Wenbin then calls Liu Ziyi, inquiring about how to apply for Huang Tianming's hospital fund, only to learn it's specifically for neurosurgery, not the entire hospital. Liu Ziyi uses the fund as an excuse to ask why Qin Wenbin was at the Second Hospital, but he dodges the question. After hanging up, Liu Ziyi calls a doctor she knows at the Second Hospital to investigate.
Xiao Hu pushes He Yingzi, who is in a wheelchair, outside for some fresh air. He brings her freshly squeezed orange juice, but she still craves a cigarette. He Yingzi is harsh, saying Xiao Hu shouldn't have saved her. Xiao Hu explains that he's studying medicine because he wants to become a caregiver. He recalls his mother having a heart attack at a bus stop and being helped by a passing doctor—Liu Ziyi. This inspired him to work at the hospital to help others. He Yingzi begins to be moved by Xiao Hu's positivity. Liu Ziyi passes by, and Xiao Hu thanks her for helping He Yingzi with the fund.
Liu Ziyi and Wang Gaosheng bump into each other in the hallway. She sees him looking at job postings and learns from him about Qin Wenbin's situation at the Second Hospital. Liu Ziyi is then called away to attend to a patient, Zhang Chenchen, who was hit by a billboard and is unable to communicate. Zhang Chenchen's husband also suddenly collapses.
Jiang Yu and Gu Shiyi meet after work, planning to visit Qin Wenbin together. Gu Shiyi notices something is bothering Jiang Yu and offers comfort.
