Episode Summary
Qin Wenbin's secret surgery becomes hospital gossip, leading to awkward encounters and a potential romance with Liu Ziyi. Meanwhile, Gu Shiyi cares for Gao Chen's child, revealing their past relationship, and Jiang Yu considers adopting Hao Hao, a young patient. A domestic dispute brings new patients to the hospital, and Wang Gaosheng's brother starts working as a security guard. Qin Wenbin and Liu Ziyi's connection is tested as they navigate their feelings and professional lives.

The episode kicks off with Wang Gaosheng visiting Qin Wenbin at the Second Hospital. Wang Gaosheng, ever the instigator, starts filming Qin Wenbin and teasing him with his new nickname: "Cheeky Doc," a reference to Qin Wenbin's recent, ahem, sensitive surgery. Qin Wenbin, who thought his condition was a secret, is relieved when it seems only Wang Gaosheng knows. That relief is short-lived, though, as Gu Shiyi and Jiang Yu unexpectedly arrive. The awkwardness is palpable. It turns out Liu Ziyi spilled the beans. Wang Gaosheng, in a move that's both hilarious and mortifying, suggests a group photo with the bedridden Qin Wenbin, promptly sending the pictures and videos to Liu Ziyi. Gu Shiyi and Jiang Yu receive a phone call and step away, leaving Wang Gaosheng to give Qin Wenbin some tough-love advice: pursue Liu Ziyi!
Liu Ziyi, upon receiving the photos, bursts out laughing and tells Wang Gaosheng she's on her way to the hospital. Qin Wenbin, now in a panic, starts a frantic grooming session. Meanwhile, Wang Gaosheng asks Qin Wenbin for a favor – could he help his younger brother get a job? Qin Wenbin mentions the hospital is hiring security guards.
In a separate storyline, Gu Shiyi is called to Gao Chen's home because his child has hives. Gu Shiyi's gentle care in applying medicine to the child stirs something in Gao Chen. After the child falls asleep, Gao Chen prepares a beautifully plated late-night snack for Gu Shiyi. Their conversation drifts to the child's mother, and it's revealed that Gao Chen and she are no longer together. Simultaneously, Jiang Yu rushes back to the hospital because Hao Hao, a patient who recently had surgery, has a high fever. Jiang Yu calls her mother, expressing a desire to adopt Hao Hao. Jiang Yu's mother, however, gently explains that their family isn't in a position to adopt another child, offering comfort to a clearly distraught Jiang Yu.
Back at the hospital, Liu Ziyi arrives to find Qin Wenbin in the middle of washing his hair, trying to look presentable. In a surprisingly intimate moment, Liu Ziyi helps the embarrassed Qin Wenbin with his hair. Liu Ziyi, who hasn't eaten dinner, starts snacking on some canned yellow peaches at Qin Wenbin's place. Qin Wenbin immediately figures out that it was Lao Ma who leaked the news about his surgery. The two enjoy a lighthearted conversation, and Qin Wenbin, remembering Wang Gaosheng's advice, starts subtly dropping hints to Liu Ziyi about his feelings. Liu Ziyi states she doesn't plan to find a partner at the hospital. Qin Wenbin decides to be more direct, and Liu Ziyi seems to pick up on his intentions, but she receives a call from Zuo Feng. Using the call as an excuse, Liu Ziyi makes a hasty exit. Qin Wenbin, left alone, starts eating the rest of Liu Ziyi's peaches. Liu Ziyi, slightly freaked out by Qin Wenbin's behavior, receives a text from him but chooses not to reply.
Jiang Yu, still worried about Hao Hao, encounters Gao Chen, who is dropping off Gu Shiyi. Gu Shiyi senses something is wrong with Jiang Yu and follows her. Jiang Yu inquires about the welfare institute, and Gu Shiyi offers to ask for help from the welfare institute she used to be in and consoles Jiang Yu. Hao Hao learns about his parents' situation through the civil affairs staff, and Jiang Yu and others outside the door feel heartbroken for him.
Qin Wenbin, now recovered and back at the hospital, finds that his "Cheeky Doc" reputation has spread like wildfire. Doctors from other departments send him gifts to aid his recovery. However, Qin Wenbin is secretly disappointed that he hasn't received anything from Liu Ziyi. At the emergency department, Liu Ziyi and Qin Wenbin receive patients involved in a domestic dispute turned violent: a woman injured by her husband's car and the husband, who attempted suicide. Wang Gaosheng's younger brother, now working as a hospital security guard, helps to escort the agitated family members out of the emergency room. Unaccustomed to the hospital environment, Wang Gaosheng's brother complains about his low salary.
Inside the operating room, Liu Ziyi performs surgery on the severely injured woman. Qin Wenbin manages to save the husband's life.
Finally, during lunch, Qin Wenbin, thinking of Liu Ziyi and her instant noodle habit, brings her a massive takeout order, courtesy of his students. They chat about the surgeries they just performed… and the sparks between them continue to subtly, awkwardly fly.
