Episode Summary
Jiang Yu comforts Hao Hao at the orphanage and later confesses his heartbreak over Gu Shiyi. Wang Gaosheng deals with thesis issues, while He Yingzi starts a new job. Lv Qingqing faces rejection from Jiang Yu. Gu Shiyi receives a devastating stomach cancer diagnosis and confides in Liu Ziyi. Jiang Yu's sister learns about his heartbreak, and news of Gu Shiyi's illness spreads.

In Episode 34 of "Good Will Society," Jiang Yu rushes to the orphanage, where the director informs him that Hao Hao has been found, hiding in a storage room. Hao Hao refuses to come out, even though he's very upset and tearful, missing his parents. Jiang Yu is able to comfort him, and after speaking with the director, takes Hao Hao back to his place for the night. During a bedtime chat, Jiang Yu explains to Hao Hao, in terms he can understand, that true friends never really leave, reassuring him about his friends Daxiong and Jiajun at the orphanage. Hao Hao also senses that Jiang Yu is unhappy. Jiang Yu admits he's heartbroken because the girl he likes is with someone else.
Meanwhile, Wang Wanli is becoming increasingly proficient in his security guard job, and Wang Gaosheng keeps taking photos of him at work to send to his mother. He Yingzi, through Xiao Hu's introduction, starts working at the hospital's coffee shop, which is a better job and closer to Xiao Hu. Qin Wenbin orders a cappuccino, and He Yingzi gives him a complimentary dessert.
Wang Gaosheng, after hearing colleagues talk about a thesis and being questioned by Qin Wenbin about his progress with Dean Lv, confronts Dean Lv about the second draft of his thesis. Dean Lv, as usual, avoids the topic, leaving Wang Gaosheng anxious but unable to press the issue further. Jiang Yu writes some suggestions and guidance for Lv Qingqing, advising her to reconsider her department selection.
After saying everything he needs to, Jiang Yu turns away, unable to watch Lv Qingqing's reaction. He confesses that he already has someone he likes, and Lv Qingqing, understanding this as a rejection, quickly leaves.
Gu Shiyi receives a call from the health checkup center informing her that her test for Helicobacter pylori came back positive, with abnormal indicators. Initially, Gu Shiyi is unconcerned, thinking medication can easily treat it. However, considering her family's medical history, the center advises her to get a gastroscopy. Gu Shiyi arranges for the procedure.
During lunch break, Pan Yue brings Qin Wenbin to see Doctor Cheng and Liu Ziyi, expressing her desire to have Liu Ziyi reinstated as the attending physician. Doctor Cheng and Qin Wenbin are puzzled by Pan Yue's intentions, but Liu Ziyi has no objections, and they just need to report it to Director Yin.
The gastroscopy results are not good, revealing a gastric lesion, confirming it's stomach cancer. Gu Shiyi hesitates but decides not to tell Gao Chen about the bad news, instead calling Liu Ziyi. Liu Ziyi, after seeing the results, is heartbroken but knows she must stay strong to take care of Gu Shiyi.
Jiang Yu's second sister brings a lot of food for the children at the orphanage. They have hot pot together and take a group photo. Jiang's sister learns from Hao Hao that her brother is heartbroken. After dinner, she takes him back to find out more. Jiang Yu denies being in a relationship with Gu Shiyi but confesses, under his sister's questioning, that Gu Shiyi has a boyfriend. His sister, understanding his feelings, advises him to move in with her to avoid being sad at the Talent Apartments.
Wang Gaosheng's friend, while making rounds, sees Gu Shiyi's name in the gastroenterology inpatient department. He quickly creates a group chat to ask about it, which Qin Wenbin and Jiang Yu both see. Qin Wenbin goes to Liu Ziyi and learns that Gu Shiyi has stomach cancer.
