Plot Synopsis

Based on thepopular novel "Xu Guo Wang Zai Dong Mian" by Qing Mei,Ski Into Love(Original Chinese title: 嘘，国王在冬眠) offers a unique blend of sports drama, romance, andpersonal triumph. This series, a first of its kind in Chinese television to focus on the world of snowboarding, tells an inspiring story of young individuals finding their way back to theirpassions and discovering love along the journey.

The story centers on Wei Zhi (played by Esther Yu), a talented manga artist whose career hits rock bottom when a scandal results in her losing the rights to herpen name and her work. Seeking solace and inspiration, she heads to the Beishan Ski Resort, intending to reignite her creativity by exploring snowboarding as a new subject for her art.

There, she meets Shan Chong (played by Lin Yi), a formerprofessional snowboarder. Shan Chong'spromising career was cut short by a combination of his sister's disability, his own injuries, and thepressures of his family. He now works as a ski instructor, hispassion for the sport seemingly extinguished. However, Wei Zhi's unwavering determination topursue her dreams, despite her setbacks, sparks something within him.

As Wei Zhi learns to snowboard under Shan Chong's guidance, she not only develops a newfound resilience but also finds herself falling for him. Simultaneously, Shan Chong, inspired by Wei Zhi's spirit, rediscovers his own love for snowboarding and decides to retuto competitive training, aiming to reclaim his former glory.

Ski Into Lovefollows their intertwined journeys as they support each other, overcome obstacles, and ultimately achieve their dreams. Wei Zhi reclaims her career, Shan Chong wins gold, and together, they find love.

More Than Just a Romance:

• Authentic Snowboarding Action:The series goes to great lengths toportray the sport realistically. Filming tookplace across multiple locations in Jilin, Xinjiang, and Fujianprovinces, including renowned ski resorts. Theproduction involved dozens ofprofessional athletes as consultants and stuntperformers, and even features a cameo appearance by Olympic champion Wu Dajing. The lead actors also underwent intensive training at a ski resort before filming.
