In Episode 14 of "Ski into Love", tensions and emotions run high as the characters navigate their personal and professional lives. Jiang Yiming confronts Shan Chong, demanding he promises to treat Wei Zhi well. He warns Shan Chong that he won't hesitate to intervene if Wei Zhi is mistreated. Shan Chong reassures him, calling Wei Zhi a gift from God and vowing to cherish her.

Later, Shan Chong brings Wei Zhi some fruit. She shares her latest project with him: a manga titled "Hush, the King is Hibernating." The story features a powerful king who is currently in a state of dormancy, seemingly impervious to the outside world. However, Wei Zhi emphasizes that once winter ends, the king will awaken. Shan Chong understands that he is the inspiration for this character, and he fully supports Wei Zhi's creative endeavors, as long as she's happy.

Meanwhile, Dai Duo tries to convince Shan Chong to return to competitive snowboarding. He reminds Shan Chong that athletes have a prime training window, and delaying a return could have serious consequences. Shan Chong remains hesitant, frustrating Dai Duo. Wei Zhi steps in to defend Shan Chong, scolding Dai Duo for his increasingly harsh words.

Shan Chong reveals his primary motivation: he's saving money for his sister's prosthetic limb. Once she can stand on her own, he'll consider returning to training. Wei Zhi expresses her unwavering support, respecting the "king's" decision during his hibernation and trusting that he won't disappoint them in the long run.

The coach also extends an invitation to Shan Chong. Dai Duo sends a video of himself performing advanced moves on the slopes, which finally convinces Shan Chong to rejoin the team.

Wei Zhi, Jiang Nanfeng, and Lao Yan cheer Shan Chong on as he flawlessly executes a high-difficulty snowboarding maneuver. The crowd erupts in applause, and the coach is moved to tears, relieved that he has a worthy successor as he approaches retirement.

During a group gathering, everyone expresses their regret that Shan Chong has to delay his training to save up. They suggest pooling their resources to help, but Shan Chong declines. Overhearing the conversation, Jiang Yiming approaches Shan Chong privately. He reveals that his family is in the medical equipment business and has partnerships with high-tech German companies. He offers to handle Shan Chong's sister's prosthetic, promising the best treatment and technology. It seems Wei Zhi's presence has unexpectedly connected them with a medical expert.

Dai Duo shares a video of Shan Chong's intense snowboarding moves with Shan Shan, Shan Chong's sister. Their mother sees the video, triggering painful memories. She's already lost one child's legs to skiing, and her son nearly broke his back. The prospect of her recovered son returning to the dangerous sport is understandably distressing. Shan Shan secretly warns her brother to be careful, anticipating their mother's intervention.
