Spoiler Alert

Shan Chong’s little sister Shan Shan finally completes her hospital measurements, and thanks to Jiang Yiming’s connections in Germany, her prosthetic limb—originally slated to take three months—is arriving before Lunar New Year. Overjoyed, Shan Chong whisks his sister home, ready to leave their medical woes in the rearview. But while one sibling thrives, another’s heartache fuels a meteoric rise…

Wei Zhi, freshly dumped, channels her rage into her manga Hush, the King is Hibernating. Her furious scribbling pays off: daily updates explode with drama, catapulting her series to #1. Meanwhile, her ex-employer Mr. Wang (CEO of the comic studio she ditched) is seething. Since Wei Zhi left, his company’s flagship series Farewell Song—now helmed by shaky newbie Manman—has tanked. Even "Workplace Newbie," their B-tier comic, is outperforming it. Mr. Wang drags editor Zhang Yu into his office, screaming about plummeting stats and demanding Manman "fix this mess or else."

But here’s the twist: Zhang Yu, bless him, doesn’t take his boss’ tantrum out on Manman. Instead, he gently coaxes the anxious artist to focus on her new project. Manman, who previously only handled coloring for Farewell Song, panics: "I’m no main writer!" Zhang Yu, masking his own stress, insists she’ll grow into the role. (Spoiler: We’re not convinced.)

Back in Wei Zhi’s world, karma arrives fast. When Mr. Wang realizes Hush’s record-breaking success is Wei Zhi’s doing, he turns the color of overcooked spinach. How dare this "small fry" outshine his entire team? Desperate, he hatches a cartoonishly evil plan: He bots her manga’s votes to absurd levels (think: 100k votes overnight), hoping to get her disqualified for cheating.

But Wei Zhi’s no damsel. Noticing the fishy spike, she rallies her old coworkers (who low-key hate Mr. Wang) to dig up dirt on his shady copyright schemes. Armed with lawyer-approved evidence, she storms into his office, Legally Blonde-style, and drops the mic: "Cut me a fair slice of Farewell Song’s profits… or I’ll sue you into bankruptcy."

The Takeaway: Never underestimate a heartbroken artist with a grudge and a good attorney. Wei Zhi’s gone from snowflake to avalanche—and Mr. Wang’s about to get buried.

Next episode teaser: Will Manman find her creative groove? Can Mr. Wang’s company survive Wei Zhi’s legal blizzard? And will Shan Chong’s sister finally hit the slopes with her new prosthetic? (We’re rooting for you, Shan Shan!)
