Spoiler Alert
In Episode 5, Wei Zhi wakes up in a hospital room, relieved to be alive after a skiing accident. She had a dream where she thought she was dying and saw someone resembling Shan Chong coming to take her away, like an angel. Fortunately, she's okay, and Shan Chong is by her side. He doesn't scold her much, and after a nurse checks her injured heel and puts on a bandage, Shan Chong carries her back since she can barely walk. Wei Zhi feels safe and secure on his back, a feeling she hasn't experienced in a long time.
Jiang Nanfeng rushes over, terrified after hearing about Wei Zhi's fall. Wei Zhi learns from Jiang Nanfeng that Lao Yan and others went to the training grounds. The temporary coach Wei Zhi had hired left her alone on the track after the training time was up, leading to the accident. Lao Yan, feeling protective of his "little sister," went to confront the coach. Wei Zhi worries that Shan Chong might get his coaching credentials revoked if he gets into a fight because of her. Shan Chong calmly explains that it's not a problem, as he no longer has any credentials.
Back home, Wei Zhi looks up videos and information about Shan Chong's past, wondering why such a skilled snowboarder retired. She's saddened by his past but decides not to dwell on it, falling asleep quickly after an exhausting day.
The next day, Shan Chong goes to Wei Zhi's place to take her to the training grounds. Considerate of her injured foot, he brings an electric scooter, which is much easier than carrying her. Today is the day Lao Yan and Lao K from Wantong Tang have their agreed-upon PK (player kill/competition).
Lao K arrives with his disciples, but Shan Chong doesn't even bother to compete himself, letting his apprentice take his place. The apprentice defeats the Wantong Tang group in less than three minutes. They leave in shame. The apprentice then has a little warm-up with Shan Chong. Wei Zhi, watching for the first time, is amazed by Shan Chong's agility, reflexes, and incredibly cool moves. She's moved to tears, realizing that the hero she's always admired is now her coach. She couldn't be happier.
Wu Dajing, Shan Chong's former coach, unexpectedly sees Shan Chong's PK at the ski resort and suggests he return to the training team. Shan Chong had a minor injury last year that still affects his waist, leading to his retirement. Since then, he's taken on various jobs, like handing out flyers and working in sales, but he realizes his true love is still snowboarding. If there's any silver lining to his retirement, it's meeting Wei Zhi, a quirky and mischievous girl who brings him a lot of joy and excitement.
Their time at the ski resort is short-lived. Wei Zhi and Jiang Nanfeng decide to return the next day and say goodbye to everyone at the ice rink. Jiang Nanfeng creates an opportunity for Wei Zhi and Shan Chong to be alone. They have hot pot together, and Wei Zhi notices Shan Chong seems unhappy. He admits he's never had a student like her, who wants to leave before even learning to ski properly, suggesting his coaching skills are lacking.
Wei Zhi is about to return to her creative work. Before leaving, she messages a longtime fan who has always supported her and asked to be her apprentice. This time, Wei Zhi agrees to meet.
Back in her room, Wei Zhi notices a small turtle protective gear on the sofa, a gift from Shan Chong. She calls him, realizing he hasn't left yet. She goes downstairs with the turtle, asking if he can give it to her as a present.
