In "Unnatural Fire" Episode 6, the twisted love triangle between Ye Meng, Jia Sanmeng, and the deceased Qin Qing reaches a boiling point. Ye Meng, still deluded that Jia Sanmeng will leave his wife for her, is confronted with photographic evidence of the bruises on Qin Qing's body. Jin Chun presents the photos, but Ye Meng tries to deflect, claiming Qin Qing and Jia Sanmeng were incompatible. However, Jin Chun methodically lays out Jia Sanmeng's controlling and abusive personality, causing Ye Meng's facade to crumble. She finally admits to tampering with the electric scooter, setting in motion the events that led to Qin Qing's death.

It's revealed that Jia Sanmeng, through subtle manipulation and their shared "understanding," led Ye Meng to believe that eliminating Qin Qing was the key to their being together. Ye Meng, acting on this unspoken agreement, orchestrated the e-bike explosion. As a result, Jia Sanmeng is summoned for questioning. Shen Ye, returning to the office, is met by Xu Tongsheng, who informs him that the explosion wasn't a simple e-bike malfunction. Jia Sanmeng arrives, and the trio begins their interrogation.

Initially, Jia Sanmeng scoffs at the accusations, claiming Ye Meng misled them. Jin Chun then brings up an incident three months prior, where Qin Qing had frequent contact with a fan. Jia Sanmeng, upon discovering this, subjected Qin Qing to another beating. Despite the abuse, Qin Qing secretly attended a domestic violence awareness event. Jia Sanmeng tracked her down, dragged her home, and forced her to forgive him after a display of self-harm by repeatedly slapping himself. Jia Sanmeng admits to this but insists Qin Qing wasn't a "perfect victim," claiming she was close to another man. Jin Chun reveals that this "other man" was actually a female lawyer Qin Qing had contacted for help. Jia Sanmeng, upon learning the truth, expresses remorse for misunderstanding his wife.

However, remorse doesn't equal innocence. Xu Tongsheng details the night of the explosion, explaining that while most people heard only one blast, Jia Sanmeng had actually engineered a second explosion. He used a strategically placed metal rod, dropped from a height, to ignite a second blast from the sparks of the initial e-bike explosion, which was the ultimate cause of Qin Qing's death. Jia Sanmeng maintains his innocence, accusing the investigators of fabricating the story.

Xu Tongsheng continues, revealing that Jia Sanmeng had been watching Qin Qing's livestream that night, constantly goading her to reach for items on a high shelf. This was all part of his pre-planned setup for the explosion. With the evidence stacked against him, Jia Sanmeng can no longer deny his actions. He pathetically claims his wife's revealing clothing during her livestreams damaged his dignity. Jin Chun explodes, furiously condemning Jia Sanmeng for harming two women and declaring that no excuse can justify his act of murder.

After Jia Sanmeng's arrest, Qin Qing's mother is devastated, realizing she had been deceived for years. Xu Tongsheng buys dumplings for Shen Ye and Jin Chun. A mix-up with the takeout order results in Shen Ye having an allergic reaction to shrimp, leading to a scolding from his father, Shen Yi. Later that night, Xu Tongsheng observes Han Jun through a telescope. Han Jun walks from Han Pei's company to his car and stares directly at the telescope, seemingly aware he's being watched.

The episode ends with another fire, this time in a run-down house in the city's village. Xu Tongsheng receives a call and rushes to the scene, where Shen Ye has already arrived.
