Episode Summary
Zhao Chuxi quits his job and borrows money to help Qin Ran. He gets a security job at a bar, saves the owner's kidnapped child, and is promoted to general manager. Su Xiluo is unhappy and investigates Chuxi's situation.

The episode opens with Xu Shaoqing, all smiles, awaiting a response from Su Xiluo after his proposition.Xiluo, clearly annoyed, tells him she needs time to think.Shaoqing agrees, but not before commenting on how beautiful she looks, albeit out of place at the construction site.Never one to back down, Xiluo retorts that his outfit matches the color of the cabinets perfectly, knowing full well it'll irritate him.
Meanwhile, Zhao Chuxi, having quit his job and desperate, turns to Xu Lin for help. He asks for a whopping 300,000 yuan. Xu Lin, surprisingly, gives Chuxi everything he has, which is 150,000 yuan. Chuxi asks if he worries about the debt, but Xu Lin, ever the businessman, says he's investing in Chuxi's potential. He figures if Chuxi ever makes it big, he'll benefit.Chuxi, deeply touched, takes the money to handle his business. He also meets with Cheng Zixin, initially to borrow money.When Zixin says they aren't close, Chuxi is about to leave, but she calls him back.He informs her he's quit his job and can't help her with Xu Shaoqing for now, but promises future assistance whenever needed. Zixin, hearing this, immediately agrees and asks for his account number. Chuxi is stunned, realizing he's gained another loyal friend in Jiacheng.
Chuxi gives the borrowed 400,000 yuan to Qin Ran. Her brother, Qin Ying, sees the money and questions its origin. Qin Ran says it's a loan, but Ying's mind races back to a video he saw of Qin Ran getting into a wealthy man's car. Later, Chuxi, Qin Ran, and their friends find solace in each other's company. They offer mutual support, with Chuxi assuring Qin Ran that things will get better.In a rare display of generosity, the usually frugal Zhao Chuxi offers to treat everyone to dinner. They are all navigating the challenges of the big city, Jiacheng, together. Soon, Sanqiang informs Chuxi about a security guard job at a bar, paying 10,000 yuan a month. Chuxi gets the job, and things seem to be looking up.
However, Su Xiluo is downcast. She contemplates calling Chuxi but restrains herself, instead asking Lu Yao to investigate his recent activities.
Chuxi starts his new job, only to be spotted by Cheng Zixin. Knowing her eccentric nature and wanting to avoid trouble, he tries to hide. Zixin, however, enters the bar and ends up dragging Chuxi into a night of drinking. The next morning, as Chuxi sees off the bar owner, Sister Jiang, he and Er Pang notice her car being followed. Luckily, Zixin is still there. Chuxi and Er Pang use her car to chase the followers, discovering that Sister Jiang's child has been kidnapped. They intervene, rescue the child, and call the police. Zixin remains completely oblivious throughout the ordeal. Chuxi and Er Pang end up taking the child back to Chuxi's grandmother's place. The next day, the bar owner, grateful for Chuxi's actions, promotes him to general manager, gives him 200,000 yuan, and a car! Zhao Chuxi has suddenly become Manager Zhao.
The episode concludes with Lu Yao updating Su Xiluo on Chuxi's reasons for borrowing money and his current situation.
