The Quirky and the Charming: Episode 15

Spoiler Alert

Let’s talk about this episode’s chaotic group outing, where Xiao Mucheng, Ling Yishu, Yi Ran, and Lin Youjia paired up (and immediately regretted it). Xiao Mucheng kept awkwardly hovering near Yi Ran, while Ling Yishu and Lin Youjia played full-time third-wheel busters with Olympic-level dedication. Things took a turn when they stumbled upon a street dance crew. Lin Youjia, hit by childhood nostalgia, dragged Yi Ran into the fray. Not to be outdone, Xiao Mucheng yanked Ling Yishu into the dance circle too. Cue the drama: Rain poured down mid-groove, forcing Xiao Mucheng and Yi Ran to share a cozy shelter while the other two got hilariously lost. Mucheng’s relief at finally scoring alone time with Yi Ran? Palpable.

Meanwhile, Ling Yishu and Lin Youjia—trapped in separate tents—screamed accusations at each other like divorced parents at a kid’s soccer game. Back at the lovebirds’ hideout, a pushy vendor sold Xiao Mucheng an "eternal love lock" (Yi Ran rolled her eyes, but he caved). Post-rain, the two hung the lock while their frenemies limped back: Lin Youjia twisted his ankle, prompting Ling Yishu to haul him home. The chaos continued at dinner, where Xiao Mucheng and Lin Youjia turned into hungry puppies fighting over Yi Ran’s fish balls, while Ling Yishu’s fancy salmon sat untouched. Savage.

Subplot Alert: Meet Gao Xu, a washed-up starlet checking into Quan Hai Hotel with her assistant. When a fan accidentally photographed her, the assistant went full Karen—until Gao Xu swooped in with faux kindness. Classic good cop/bad cop celebrity BS.

The real tea spilled when Ling Yishu confronted Yi Ran: "I’m jealous you’re free-spirited!" Yi Ran fired back, "You’re literally a rich princess!" Yishu then dropped the bomb: "Give me Xiao Mucheng." Yi Ran shut that down fast ("Nope, he’s mine"), leaving Yishu to bond with Lin Youjia over their shared clown energy.

Elsewhere, Yi Ran and Lin Youjia visited Grandma (who mistook Lin Youjia for Xiao Mucheng—ouch). Pan Yiyi, Yi Ran’s exhausted friend, confessed her burnout: "Dreams used to be cool; now they’re a joke." Heart. Shattered.

Final Boss Level: Xiao Mucheng’s dad dragged Yi Ran to his bougie art collection room to remind her she’s "dirt" compared to his son. Meanwhile, Lin Youjia—now flexing as CEO of Baisiman—tried to strong-arm Quan Hai with a deal. Xiao Mucheng rejected it (again!), but his advisor Chen Mo warned: "Keep this up, and you’ll lose everything."

Verdict: This episode served awkward turtle energy, petty jealousy, and a masterclass in how to ruin a group trip. 10/10 would watch this dumpster fire again.
