The Glory E25: Bone-Chilling Revelations & Family Betrayals

Secrets buried for 17 years finally crawl out of the grave—and the Zhuang family's skeletons are extra spicy.

Flashback to the Stormy Night

Let's rewind to the night Zhuang Hanliang met his doom. Amid thunderclaps, Wei Shi rushes to mediate a father-son brawl between Zhuang Hanliang and his son Zhuang Shiyang—only to find the patriarch dead with blood on his lips and half-eaten poisoned pastries nearby. Before she can scream, she spots Shiyang lurking outside. Cue the confession: Shiyang admits to offing his dad, claiming it was "self-defense" against the powerful Pei Dafu. Wei Shi plays hide-and-seek (poorly) but survives by pretending she’s clueless and nominating Shiyang as the new family head. Smart move… for now.

Present Day: Bones, Lettuce, and Gaslighting

Fu Yunxi and amateur sleuth Han Yan (Zhuang Hanyan) study Zhuang Hanliang’s exhumed bones and a damning letter from Yuwen Chang’an. Their prime suspect? Shiyang. But Wei Shi’s recent habit of avoiding home-cooked meals (and looking very sus near snack bars) catches Han Yan’s eye. After three failed attempts to trick Wei Shi into spilling tea, Han Yan plans a fourth showdown at Wei Shi’s birthday party.

Meanwhile, Zhuang Yushan (Shiyang’s daughter) flexes her mean-girl energy by forcing Han Yan to drink Zhou Ruyin’s leftover tea. Hanyan claps back with a savory burn about Yushan’s taste in "recycled" men (side-eyeing Prince Qi). Fu Yunxi swoops in like a rom-com hero to escort Han Yan out, leaving Yushan fuming.

Interrogation by Poisoned Parsley

Han Yan confronts Wei Shi with a Casual™ chat about grandpa’s murder. Wei Shi, surviving on her son’s guilt-tainted meals, stays mum until Han Yan dangles a new deal: "Spill the beans, and I’ll feed you non-toxic porridge in your golden years." Still, Wei Shi chickens out—until she sends Han Yan a cryptic gift: water celery with toxic roots.

Cue Wei Shi’s flashback: Young Yushan’s pet rabbit drops dead after nibbling the same greens. "My timid boy’s a killer now?" Wei Shi mutters, realizing Shiyang’s been a toxic kingpin for decades.

Courtroom Chaos & Family Freakout

Fu Yunxi drags Shiyang to the Dali Temple with Hanliang’s bones as Exhibit A. Shiyang folds under pressure and throws his wife Zhou Ruyin under the carriage, blaming her for the murder. Ruyin scrambles to pin it on a conman "Barefoot Ghost" (lol), but even the hired mystic Duan Tianshi rats her out.

The plot twist? Yushan—raised to worship her dad—turns on Ruyin, testifying about the poisoned celery. As Ruyin crumbles, Shiyang fake-sobs about taking the blame (while low-key fist-pumping). Han Yan watches from the shadows, smirking like she just won chess.

Epilogue: Mommy Issues 101

Yushan flashbacks to childhood: Ruyin force-feeding her lies about adoring Shiyang’s terrible cooking. "Swallow your pride or starve," Ruyin hissed. Now, Yushan helps Shiyang walk free… and leaves Ruyin sobbing on the courtroom floor. Cold.

Next Time: Will Ruyin take the fall? Can Han Yan trust Wei Shi’s parsley-based hints? And why does Prince Qi keep getting dragged? Tune in for more Game of Homes drama!

MVP of the Episode: Water celery. Deadly garnish, stellar plot device.
