With Love with You: Episode 13

Spoiler Alert

Episode 13 of With Love with You kicks off with Wang Lingjun paying her brother Wang Yan a visit—well, technically she came to see the cat, but she casually drops the bomb that Liao Fanmu came looking for her. Wang Yan doesn’t even ask why, but Lingjun is dying to brag that she turned Liao Fanmu down without hesitation. Wang Yan knows his sister isn’t exactly a genius, but she’s not entirely clueless either. Deep down, he’s a softie—he’s all sharp words and warm actions, like when he quietly buys a whole haul of supplies for the kitten.

Meanwhile, Li Fei pulls some strings to get herself into a club as a volunteer. Even though Fang Li told her to stay away from the Yuan Zhou Group project, she clearly doesn’t trust him anymore. A friend warns her: going head-to-head with Wang Yan and Gao Qian is no walk in the park. But Li Fei’s already braced herself for a fight.

Back at work, Wang Yan gets in early and heads straight to Gao Qian’s office. They chat about Ye Chen, who attends regular extracurricular classes at a specific club—next session’s in two days. Gao Qian’s swamped with cases and promotional work for the Blue River project. Wang Yan suggests they bring in Han Xiaojie, who’s currently idle under Li Fei. Gao Qian’s on board.

At the club, Ye Zhen joins her son Ye Chen for a parent-child activity. Li Fei, now volunteering there, ends up protecting Ye Chen from a fall—earning herself a scrape but also Ye Zhen’s sincere gratitude. Not knowing Li Fei works for Miaosii, Ye Zhen is touched and even exchanges WeChat with her, inviting her to more parent-child events.

Wang Yan also shows up at the club and, in Ye Chen’s name, distributes snacks to the kids. It doesn’t take long for him to spot Li Fei—now he’s certain she’s not letting go of the Yuan Zhou project anytime soon. But he’s not backing down either. He even has a calm, productive talk with the parent of the kid who’s been bullying Ye Chen. The parent agrees to transfer their child out of the club and promises to send an apology letter soon.

But when Ye Zhen sees Wang Yan casually greet Li Fei and realizes she’s with Miaosii, her expression drops. Still, Wang Yan and Li Fei later join Ye Zhen and Ye Chen for more activities, and Ye Chen ends up winning a bunch of prizes. Gratitude starts to outweigh suspicion.

Wang Yan, feeling a bit guilty, comes clean: she’s here with a purpose. She also tells Ye Zhen that Ye Chen’s been bullied more than once and had tried fighting back, but with Ye Zhen away overseas, he eventually just kept it to himself. It’s the first time Ye Zhen hears any of this—and it hits hard. Wang Yan reassures her: she's doing her best as a mom.

Moved by everything, Ye Zhen agrees to meet with Wang Yan and the Miaosii team. But instead of pushing a proposal right away, Wang Yan invites her and Ye Chen to spend a few days at Hongyuan Temple and talk business after they return. She updates Gao Qian, adding that this break is a good time to lock in surgery and hospital plans.

Later, Wang Yan calls her mom to check in—nothing dramatic, just the usual reminders to take care. Meanwhile, Wang Lingjun deals with chaos at home: the cafeteria’s out of chicken, so she gets fish instead. But their father insists on chicken. After she finally gets it, he eats both. She warns he’ll get indigestion, but he won’t listen—and of course, he ends up with food poisoning.

Wang Lingjun texts Wang Yan for help, and he drops everything to come to the hospital. While the old man is fine after a stomach pump, Wang Yan takes a firm stance: both sides share responsibility, they’ll accept a fair settlement, and if Lingjun wants out of her job, she can break her contract. Lingjun is stunned—wasn’t expecting that from her brother.

Finally, over at the Lingyue project, things hit a snag with the endorsement deal. Li Fei suspects Wang Yan is behind it. She tries complaining to Gao Qian with no luck, so she confronts Wang Yan directly. She promises to stay away from the Yuan Zhou project if Wang Yan backs off. Wang Yan doesn’t admit to anything but suggests she rethink her pitch to the client instead.

TL;DR: Everyone’s playing chess, not checkers. Wang Yan’s making quiet power moves, Li Fei’s not giving up, and Ye Zhen’s slowly opening up. The club is becoming a battleground for business, parenting, and personal redemption—and the claws (and the cats) are out.
