With Love with You: Episode 20

Spoiler Alert

Things are getting real messy in Episode 20, and if you thought the emotional rollercoaster was slowing down, think again. This episode is packed with heartbreak, sisterly drama, and a slap that could be heard across the hospital.

Wang Lingjun Is Packing Up

We open with Wang Lingjun quietly packing her bags, preparing to move out of the hospital dorms. Her friend Xie Jiao is furious on her behalf, but Lingjun seems almost... at peace? Enter Liao Fanmu, who shows up to apologize and take her to dinner. But Lingjun isn’t angry—she says she chose to help him, and besides, he’s the one who got her the job in the first place. No hard feelings, no regrets.

Fanmu asks if she’s told Wang Yan about what happened. She hasn’t. Fanmu thinks she should.

Then comes the bombshell: Fanmu already knew about Wang Yan’s illness relapse. Turns out everyone did—except Lingjun. Ouch.

Still, Lingjun isn't giving up. She wants to operate on Wang Yan again and asks Fanmu to connect her with the hematology department. He agrees.

Wang Yan Finds Out the Truth

Meanwhile, Gao Qian shows Wang Yan a video that finally brings him up to speed on his sister’s situation. Shocked, he tries to call Lingjun, but she doesn’t pick up. So he calls her dorm roommate and gets the full story.

Back at the hospital entrance, a sweet moment unfolds. The old man (the one Lingjun had been taking care of) gives her dessert and opens up about his son, who died in the 1998 floods along with his comrade’s son. Lingjun learns that Le Chuan, the boy she’s been around, hadn’t even started school back then. The old man asks if she's really leaving, but Lingjun says Le Chuan already found him a new caregiver. They part ways at the hospital gate—no drama, just a quiet goodbye.

Hotel Drama Incoming

Wang Yan finally gets through to Lingjun on the phone. She lies, saying she’s still in the dorms. Wang Yan immediately says he’s on his way over and hangs up. Uh-oh.

Panicking, Lingjun texts him not to come and rushes to a hotel with her suitcase. But here’s the twist—Wang Yan already knows she moved out and drives straight to the cheapest hotel near the hospital. He knocks on her door like a man on a mission.

Lingjun is stunned. How did he find her?!

She’s half-convinced he put a tracker on her phone, but no—he just knows her too well. Wang Yan suspects someone helped her come up with her escape plan. His prime suspect? Liao Fanmu. Lingjun denies it and says it was just an intern from the hospital.

The Confrontation We’ve Been Waiting For

Wang Yan crashes at the hotel that night, but Lingjun doesn’t sleep a wink. At 4 a.m., she sneaks out, heads home to freshen up, and marches straight to Puxing Hospital to confront Lin Yilin.

Wang Yan doesn’t hold back. She puts the pressure on, and Lin Yilin cracks—admitting she was the one who convinced Lingjun to take all the blame. Bold move, Lin.

But Lin flips it around, accusing Wang Yan of being ungrateful to Fanmu. Wang Yan isn’t fazed. She pulls out her phone—yes, she recorded the whole thing—and heads for hospital leadership to report Lin Yilin. That’s when Liao Fanmu steps in to stop her.

Bad idea.

Wang Yan, furious, slaps him square in the face. It’s intense—and just in time for Lingjun and Cao Kunkun to walk in and witness the slap heard ’round the hospital.

A Sister’s Power Move

Wang Yan tells Lingjun to wait in the car, but doesn’t say where she’s going. Later that night, she brings her home. Lingjun gets a message from Xie Jiao and finally learns the truth: Wang Yan had gone to bat for her with the hospital leadership, and now Lin Yilin is being transferred out. Justice served.

Wang Yan tells Lingjun she won’t force her to go back to their hometown, but from now on, Lingjun doesn’t get to make decisions anymore. She’s staying under Wang Yan’s roof—and under her rules.

Lingjun wants to stay. Honestly, she’d love to curl up like a cat and never leave. But she just can’t bring herself to say it out loud.

Final Thoughts

This episode dives deep into family loyalty, sacrifice, and the limits of forgiveness. Wang Yan is fierce, no doubt, but underneath that fire is someone who deeply cares. Lingjun, on the other hand, is caught in a storm of guilt, pride, and yearning for comfort.

And just when you think the drama's peaked... bam, a slap, a resignation, and a power shift.
